When you say "fine between apple apps" do you mean between Photos and Photoshop?

I see. It looks like 1.5 won't be released until fall. Does this mean there is meanwhile no way to drag and drop? Thank you!

To whom, Thank you in advance for help with this detail. I just want to drag and drop a photo from Photos on a mac to Afinity and no matter what key I hold down, shift, option, command, nothing works. I've had success before, dragging from photos into Affinity, or so I thought, but now it refuses. I don't want to scroll through all the photos again to find the one I want on the tiny pop up window, as per directions above. There must be a better way to just simply drag and drop! One must be able to be in Photos, looking at image in larger thumb size, and then, as with Photoshop, say, "I'd like to edit this one!" and then drag it over the icon and in it goes for editing. No such luck and highly frustrating. Hopefully you can guide me! Thank you hifire

Oh my, you all are completely right, I am in Affinity DESIGNER trial! Well shucks, I typed in Affinity Photo and pressed download Trial version, so Im not sure what happened there. So, I will start over and find the Photo app and maybe it will all make more sense to me! Thank you all. So basic....like "is your cord plugged into your computer." Thank you for responding. I have attached a file here and you will see that the menu bar is not loaded with all the same tools as what the Beginner Tutorial Version has. You will also see that the crop tool is selected here and there is no grid on the image. Perplexed and grateful for your help. hifire

Good morning, I posted yesterday and can't find my post, so Im trying again. I just downloaded Affinity Trial Version and the crop tool doesn't work, and it's so stripped down I can't seem to make it work intuitively, as a somewhat experienced Photoshop user. Are any of you willing to answer a question about the Trial? Or perhaps you will just tell me to go ahead and buy the whole version so I can just get started. Its a tad unnerving to get the Trial and not have it work, however. thank you!

Hello and thank you I am new to Affinity and am just on the Trial version which seems like a Lite version when compared to the larger menu in the Tutorial Video. That aside, the crop function seems disabled for me. I click on the crop tool and the Tutorial tells me the handle bars will appear, but nothing appears and no amount of clicking or dragging, or anything is creating a response. Please help! I am helpless without Photoshop to run my business, and believe Affinity will be my new darling, but what is going on? hifire
