  1. Cool and thanksPaolo! I'm going to give this method a shot on something soon...
  2. I for one would like to see more of that black and white to colour process a bit. That's quite the jump, and great result! Awesome work and pencils freebies Paolo!
  3. Nice one Ronnie. I haven't been to NYC for a while. Looks like you're giving Hooters some competition in one of those shots. ;-) Good to see some Affinity out there!
  4. Lovely work Paolo. Nice subtle texture and sense of story telling in a simple colour scheme. Great use of compositional visual contrast.
  5. Hi Malcolm nice work and workflow and a great example of using AD for game assets. If I may ask, what app are you authoring the game in?
  6. This is looking really good justwilliam. I'd say it's a combination of getting some good reference and using a combination of techniques. I would keep everything vector for now as far as shapes go and add blurs to things as you need to. For the marble this may mean layering shapes of different colours and sizes over top of each other to create a natural random feel. You may even want to lay in a marble photo in these areas masked out with shading and highlights on a layer above. Main thing is to keep going and experiment, keeping everything balanced so not one area is standing out too much. Some shadows below the figure will go a long way towards realism, but done subtly or it may look laboured and unnatural. Great job so far.
  7. Hey team, any input or development to share on the vector eraser request? Cheers. :)
  8. Cheers Bodo B!
  9. Great series of videos Andy. Nice and complete. I learned a few new tips here! Great implementation of the grids feature, finally grids done right. ;-)
  10. Cheers guys, good to see these incremental improvements and attention to fixes. :)
  11. I waited for iso grids for years in illustrator. Don't know if they have them now or not. There used to be a plugin iso tool for drawing isometric angled strokes which was very handy. Anyway, glad to be using AFD for this type of work now. ;)
  12. Nice naturalistic feel to this one Paolo. Great job!
  13. Cheers Andy for all of these videos. They really help to introduce the basic concepts of Photo.
  14. Yes I really love the transparency tool. I miss it when I have to work in Ai now. It's just so fast, less finicky fiddling with gradient stops.
  15. Welcome uncle808us, I recognize you from the c3d forum. :-) Nope. I'm waiting for this too. It has been brought up before. Currently there isn't a key short to scale or rotate or a way to define where to scale from and you have to go out of node mode to scale and/or rotate. This, in my opinion is a shortcoming and I am hoping it will be addressed at some point.
  16. Wowsers, you guys are on fire... I can't keep up.... it's a good thing ;-)
