  1. Hello, me again. I'm talking designer not Photo for what it's worth. Any progress on this Andy, Matt, MEB? Thanks!!
  2. No change after bumping up the cursor in settings. I can see the the huge cursor, but the cursor in the screenshot is "normal" sized. Edit: maybe it has something to do with your retina display?...
  3. Hey chap, to get a screenshot that shows your cursor use Preview and go to File > take screen shot > from entire screen. The go back to Affinity (it'll time down from 10 or so seconds) put your cursor where you want it and it will take a screenshot of the entire window. Then just crop out the bits you don't need. I use this when making tutorial screenshots and I need to show the cursor from time to time.
  4. Hmm, not sure I'm completely understanding that. Command "A" will select everything. I just want a way to not have to go to the layers panel every time to lock or unlock a layer. You don't have to select the layer in the layer panel to activate the "edit all layers" feature. Something just has to be selected in the viewport. Currently as far as I understand it, it works likes this. I select something in the viewport. Then I click on the tiny little "edit all layers" button way over on my second monitor... ;-) and it will lock all of the other layers, which is great, clicking on a different layer in the layers panel with the "edit all layers" button still pressed will unlock that layer and lock the previous one, which again is very useful... I would just like to bypass having to repeatedly go to the layers panel hundreds of times over the course of an illustration. :-) For instance, say I have the ability to set the "caps lock" key to my "edit all layers" feature. I select an element, hit caps lock, this locks all of the other layers, I do some work, hit the caps lock key again unlocking all of the layers, select something else on another layer, hit the caps lock key, edit... and so on. Bliss! :-)
  5. As far as I can tell there is no ability to assign an "edit all layers" key short. I am working on a piece right now that would greatly benefit from the ability to have a shortcut for turning on and off edibility to all layers. Ideally this is another candidate for the right click menu structure I would love to see someday. (The ability to create our own right menu would be super stupendously marvellous) hint hint ;-) ... but I digress, If anyone can see where an "edit all layers" shortcut is possible please post here. Cheers!
  6. Here's what I use it for. Imagine you have a multi layered complex project and you want isolate one layer only to work on. Selecting that layer and de-selecting the "edit all layers" button will only allow selection and/or editing to that one layer. You no longer need to worry about selecting unwanted elements underneath or above that layer. Now if we can get the ability to enact a shortcut or a right click menu operator for this it would be much better and faster. :-)
  7. Oh right, I see it's Photo, not Designer. I didn't look close enough at the UI screenshot.
  8. Thanks MEB! Sorry, I'm just seeing your response now, any progress? I am working on a large complex designer piece right now and a right click menu structure to hide, unhide all, hide everything but the selected element/object, and /or lock, unlock all, lock everything but the selected element/object is really going to the top of my wish list of "gotta haves"... :-) I like to work as "ui free" as possible, going to the layers panel to do these things is taking me out of the flow. I'm probably not the only one, I'm guessing...
  9. ... also to have the brush highlight and stay highlighted in the brush palette? Many times painting I have to really think, now which brush am I using again...?
  10. This is fun, looks like some 3d elements in there. Are the house, hedges and trailer 2d or 3d? Nice colour scheme too.
  11. Cheers Ronnie, work has been very busy lately, so I haven't been too active in the forum. Been doing a lot of 3d work as well. Looks like you have been busy too.
  12. Cool Ronnie, I'll have to swing by and check it out. Funny, I just did an advanced written tutorial for Envato to be posted in April I think. Must be the season. :-)
  13. Expand stroke and some of boolean functions (divide) is still generating unwanted complexity and in some cases extra "pieces" see attached images. For the type of complicated slice and dice workflow I have, this is very problematic and a show stopper for all but the simplest forms. LOVING the effects and shading workflow, path editing is still not where it should be and my hope is that some of these vector basics will be dealt with and rise to the same level soon. :-)
  14. Hi MEB, I have the same situation. Question for you, if I use my MAS version for a project I am working on, there won't be any issues opening that file in the next beta, correct?
  15. Cheers Rickmc, boy you've got some steady hands, they look pretty even. ;-) I do a lot of engraving style logos and illos and I'm waiting for some sort of blend or array tool that has a live preview and is non-destructive.
  16. Cool! I'm curious, how did you create the linear line shading without a blend tool?
  17. It's a party! Nice style.
  18. Lot's of character in that woman's face. Hoping to visit Oxford this May.
  19. Cool! Nice use of the texture and painted highlighting and shadows. Reminds of a game asset.
