Looks like a bug to me (see post #6).
Right you are Matthias. Sorry for the repeat there, I should take the time to read entire threads before opening up my yapper... :D
-
The "Apply to selection" option would be more obvious if the selected object displays as being selected. Currently when you select an object then click on the colour picker tool the objects bounding box disappears. It's still selected but there is no user feedback as the bounds do not appear...

Cheers wrinkledlight, I will take a look.
Whoa, it's a whopper - 379 mb... :D

Wow, these make me want to try something in this painterly style. Nice job! Like how you handled the trees.
-
It sounds like you have a white stroke being applied. It would help if you could upload a screenshot of what's happening.

Thanks wrinkledlight, it's nice to see how others work. I'll take a close look at it and maybe learn a few things...

Hey Matt, forgive me if I have overlooked it, but maybe a comprehensive video covering the latest features would cover off a lot of the questions you guys are having to keep answering? If such a video exists please point me to it. :) Cheers!!
Edit - sorry I see where MEB has explained why there aren't videos yet. My bad...

Nice job, first time or not. :-)

MattP,
I posted this in the first 1.5 Beta but no one responded. If I have an object selected and I want to use the eyedropper tool to copy the properties of another object, the object that I have selected appears to be deselected. It isn't but it appears like it isn't selected. Is there a way to change this or is that how it is supposed to work? As well, as I always ask, I'm still holding out hope for a "Hide/Show All" menu option with a shortcut key and more importantly a way to turn off scrubby zooming and get the old (much better in my opinion) zooming behaviour back! Is there any way that you can work a preference for zooming into the next beta? Thanks for all the hard work.
Hokusai
I am starting to find the zooming setup as Hokusai mentions above to be not ideal as well. :) +1 on the hide/show all or some sort of isolate ability. Blender uses the slash / key on the numpad, works a treat! Thanks guys. Hope the windows woes works out soon. :)

Yes of course MEB. No worries, just thought I'd check in. :)

Hey MEB, any news on this yet?
-------------
EDIT - I just tried A_B_C's suggestion of adding a masking shape and applying a blur to that shape.
While it does blur the shape and leaves the pixel painting inside the shape intact (not blurred) it's doing some strange colour shifting on the blurred edges. It looks fine over the white but seems to be colour dependent or is applying a blending mode in the blur that is causing different results (colour and thickness of blur) over each colour rectangle below.
If a feathering option is eventually added as a feature to our effects panel set for vector shapes, please attempt to ensure this colour shifting does not happen if possible... :)

Yep, liking the process images. Interesting play with the perspectives too.

Great !
I have another issue with Artboard titles (since their introduction, it's not specific to this beta), they're too small and too light.
Note that I have a special configuration for the LCD font smoothing:
defaults -currentHost write -globalDomain AppleFontSmoothing -int 4
Also note that my screen is not Retina.

I have noticed this as well. Maybe a couple of sizes bigger would solve this one.

No problem, I'll get this sorted out asap, thanks :)
Cheers Matt!

Thanks for the colour picker tool Matt. I assigned "i" to it as a key short, works well as a toggle setup with the current tool.
What are the protocols for tools or tool panels that could be useful in both personas both don't show up in both...?

Cheers team, just wading through all of the new goodness! :) Thanks for all of the hard work!
Really liking the deep thinking in some of the new features.

Hi Ash, I just sent you a note. :-)

Cool stuff Brett, I checked out your painting steps on artstation, it's always great to see how people work. It has a nice hand painted look.
Good luck with the venture and thanks for sharing.

Not me, sorry. Hope it goes well though. :)

Yeah, sure would appreciate it Matt, I use a tablet for painting and it's a nice feature to have. More of a natural painting feel.

Hopefully this would involved addressing some of the nasty extra nodes issues when outlining and boolean-ing... please please please! :D
