  1. I understand that Luckily the answers are also there. Thanks for trying!
  2. Very strange this... I've tried the same image on a much older machine, and there the export works okay (same Affinity Photo version, but Catalina 10.15.7 on a 2012 machine).
  3. @VectorWhiz, thanks!! It's a lot of fun for me to create them. It does take me a year to create all of them (I've started on the 2023 version even before publishing this one) Could you solve any of them?
  4. hi @Lee D, is there anything I can do to give you more information to find the problem here?
  5. Hi @Lee D, please note that I'm exporting at 50%. I've done as you asked, set it to OpenGL and the image still has the artifacts. I've also now exported to 100% with OpenGL (resulting in no artifacts) and then resized to 50% in Apple Preview and this also results in no artifacts. So it is possible to resize this image to 540 in PNG without introducing artifacts.
  6. @Lee D, I've included three versions now: - default settings (Metal Compute on): the square of noise is now in a different location as yesterday - disabled Metal Compute: the "square block of noise" is gone, but new artifacts over the whole image have come back in return - a screenshot of the image how it looks when zoomed out to approximately the same size: this looks as I would expect the exports look Also added a screenshot of the settings screen. I have version 1.10.5 of the Affinity Photo (not Designer, I picked the wrong forum to post this in, perhaps you can move this thread to the correct forum?).
  7. I should maybe add some context to this thing I make a cryptographic puzzle for friends and family each Easter. I've started on the puzzle for 2023 already, it takes me a year to finish all images (18 in total). The theme this year is "Sugary treats", for example candy or milkshake. Any guesses what the solution is for the image above?
  8. I've exported the attached document to a half-size PNG using the menu-option (not the export-persona). As you can see in the attached PNG there is a square of noise in the bottom-left corner. I've exported this same file (with some minor edits) in the same way yesterday, and the square of noise was in a different part. Am I doing something wrong, or is this a bug? puzzle4.afphoto
  9. Every easter I make a puzzle withy cryptographic images. This year the theme was 'Birds'. Easter has of course long since past, but I just realized I didn't share my work here. I'd love to hear feedback if you have any. Everything was made in Affinity Designer! https://matth-ijs.nl/paaspuzzel/2022/
  10. I don't know how, but this randomly popped up in my head this morning.
  11. Wow, love it! The visual is amazing and great story telling. I feel like the eyes are piercing right through me
  12. Great 1 minute tutorials. You make it look too easy
  13. Wow, this is amazing work! Very impressive!
  14. This is amazing and definitely ten million times better than what I can do. one tip, though, both ship and planes look like they were added later. Perhaps you can add some color filters on top of them. The ship should have a bluish tint in my mind
  15. Ha, now I get it: we see the space ship AND the booster my interpretation was that the booster was the space ship, and the other thing was a “falling star” that happened to be “in the picture” as well. Shows how much I know about space 😂
  16. Wow, that Cassini image is incredible! I like the launch image you made and the story that goes with it. For me the star/asteroid distracts a bit
  17. Have you ever done an imaginary line? (like visualizing the paths of characters in LOTR in a transit diagram) Or one that's a bit strange? (like the monorail in Disneyland or the transsiberia express) BTW, what's the font you used in this diagram? I'm curious because of the ligatures
  18. Another really nice one! I used to live in Utrecht and it’s great to see these stations on such a beautiful diagram
  19. I will suggest looking at existing cards for design inspiration. Take an hour or two and collect cards from games like Magic The Gathering. What works, what doesn’t? not to copy their design, but look at it like research.
  20. Thanks for the offer! That is super kind. I hope I can pick it up sometime, for now I’m swamped in other stuff
  21. Thanks for sharing this, learning a lot by seeing this. I always had trouble in Blender getting the lights right, and this is a very nice insight in how to improve. Thanks!
  22. Wow, that looks great! i would be very curious into the original render: how much did you do in affinity photo?
