  1. Hi Walt. Thanks for your help. I was finally able to show the tables. The issue was that I was in full-screen mode and the windows were popping up underneath or other widows that I did not see. I've figured it out. Much appreciated!
  2. I just created my first table and am trying to format it. I select my table, and when I click on the visible buttons for "Show Table" or "Show Table Format", absolutely nothing happens. When I go to the table menu and select either "Show Table" or "Show Table Format", absolutely nothing happens. I am not able to format my table.
  3. It was very easy to preserve the transparency of a layer in PSD. But in Affinity Photo, I cannot figure it out. I have a semi transparent layer with black art in it in varying degrees of transparency. I want to fill the layer but preserve the transparency in oder to change the colour of the art. Cannot figure that out. Thought it would be very simple. Thanks for your help. Rob
  4. I updated to the latest build yesterday. Since then, Publisher is practically unusable for me. I get the rainbow wheel all the time. And just moving objects around is very laggy and almost impossible. My version of Publisher Beta is 1.7.0.257 My OS is MacOS Mojave 10.14.3
  5. @Sean P, after installing 1.7.0.305 , the problem seems to be fixed. I'm able to smoothly move objects around again. Do you still need me to upload a video?
  6. Hi @Sean P, Installing the latest Publisher now and should have a video soon. I have slow rural internet so I'll do my best.
  7. Should I assume the developers are aware of the issue now?
  8. Interesting. I checked my file and there was a complex vector item in it. Not a logo but a vector brush stroke. I removed them and the issue went away. I think @Dazmondo77 figured it out.
  9. Thanks. I'm uploading it as I type this. Much appreciated for your help.
  10. Hello. finally was able to download and test the newest version 1.7.0.283. Yes, unfortunately, it is still very laggy. But here is the thing, It's only laggy with one particular file. When I created a new document, it was fine. The particular file that was laggy has a lot of embedded images. Would embedded images (and not linked) cause problems by any chance?
  11. Then why is it telling me I have the latest version? See screenshot.
  12. Hello. In InDesign, you can select a colour in the Colour Palette and change it. It will then change the colour across your document wherever you have it. Is it possible to do the same thing in Affinity Publisher? Thank you!

    Display problems on second screen

Thank you to @Strandbummler This fixed my problem by switching the display to Metal.
  14. Thank you. I didn't save the original file, but I rebuilt it again (and got the same results). I have attached it here. Much appreciated. Rob icon-colour.afphoto
  15. I found a work-around. I followed your steps as described. But prior to the fill, I made a new layer while maintaining the selection, then I filled that.
  16. Hi, and thank you for your help. Unfortunately, your method did not give the desired results. I have attached 2 screenshots. One of them has the original transparent layer (Black) on the yellow background. The other has the new transparent layer with white fill using the method you described. You can see that many of the pixels, instead of being varying degrees of white transparency became gray. That shouldn't happen. Any other suggestions? Thank you.
  17. Hi, I'm very new to Affinity, I'm in the process of trying out the demos and love them. I've been a designer for 22 years and am ready to switch from Adobe. I've read a few posts about a Affinity Publisher for some time in the future to replace InDesign. Is this true? If there are any details on this please let me know. Is it months away or years away? I'd love to volunteer myself as a beta tester when it is ready. I consider myself an Indesign expert at the moment, so I'd be able to offer valuable insight. In my opinion anyway. Well, that's it, thanks for making amazing software and offering a fair and reasonable pricing model. Rob
