  1. As a graphic designer how would you react if a client would ask you to work for free on their 2023 commercial brochure because they already paid for their 2022 brochure you did last year? Sorry but this section of the forum has become a spoiled brats playground.
  2. @spinkoThere are indeed still a lot of things missing, but what's already there is truly incredible and I prefer focusing on that. What we have today in our hands is a dream come true for me. (When I started in the mid 90's, just applying a blur effect could take minutes. Now I can't believe my eyes that everything is in realtime).
  3. @MmmMaarten I had the same reaction as yours! I posted a similar thread a few minutes after you. Can a moderator merge my thread here?
  4. To counterbalance all the unjustified negativity that's going on in these forums, I'd like to say that there are people who really like the new version of the affinity suite. It's totally amazing to have such a large toolset for a price as low as 40€ per app. The apps are powerful and a joy to use. It brings a huge creative power to the crowds and we can't thank you enough for that. I wish more people realize the luck they have to have such an incredible tool at an incredibly low price. When I started in the field 25 years ago the equivalent apps were 20x more expensive and didn't have a tenth of the features offered in this suite. Ok there are some bugs and we are still waiting for some important features, but I hope that this 2.0 cycle will bring a wave of cashflow that will fuel the dev team to bring the apps to new heights. So to all the affinity team : THANK YOU! Your suite of apps is bringing to the industry a tidal wave of fresh air. You are doing an incredible job and we can't wait for what you are preparing for the next releases.
  5. It seems that the problem is caused by special characters in your account password. Try generating a new password with non accentuated characters and numbers and it should work. There is another topic about that here :
  6. The old password is now overwritten. But I think it was generated by 1Password and used only random characters like a-z A-Z numbers and & @ é " ' ( à ç , ; / : + = % ù £ - _ etc. It was also very long.
  7. I found a solution. My previous account password was generated by a password generator and had many special random characters like commas etc. I changed my password for another one with more conventional characters, and it worked.
  8. Icloud private relay is the only thing that could interfere. I also tried disabling the default mac os firewall but it didn't have any effect. The menu shows 2 options : Export purchase receipt and delete account.
  9. Hello @Dan C That app was downloaded from the Mac App Store, but the problem is the same with the app downloaded from affinity's website. I tried with iCloud private relay disabled but it's still unable to check the license. It accepts my logins but the activation of the licence won't work at all whatever I do. EDIT : My Login/password are accepted in the first window displayed when the app launches but in the "account" window it just says that it can't connect to servers.
  10. I'm also unable to activate my license. I've already put a message with pictures on another thread.
  11. Hi. I'm also having troubles to activate my licence (bought on the affinity store). Every time I try to login, the software (photo, designer or publisher) says that it can't connect to server...
  12. This thread is also talking about the same problem
  13. Sorry about this putting the answer twice, when I searched for the same problem I first answered to this thread here mentioning the same problem on windows :
  14. Hi. I'm also having very long loading times on all affinity apps. I'm using Mac OS 10.15.6 and affinity 1.8.4. They always used to open instantaneously but recently they often take a huge amount of time to open. Their icon bounces in the dock while using a processor thread at 100%. This problem is only affecting the affinity apps and I don't have anything special on the mac, except dropbox, the system is untouched (not even additional fonts). A fix would be greatly appreciated.
