  1. Well, at least the action was low enough for you to play barre chords . Yes, the Gibson SG (Solid Body) - Gibson's best selling guitar!
  2. Try adjusting the contrast as well - I find that and the levels adjustment have the most obvious effects on old images like this. BTW, is that a Framus guitar?
  3. I've got the 610 Pro and that works without any problems - I had to install the driver a few time before it worked though. I notice from your other post that you've already tried reinstalling, but make sure you delete the driver first - I've found that Windows has a nasty habit of "remembering" old drivers.
  4. I'd be surprised if anyone can give you a specific end time - retailers don't like to release that sort of information (assuming it's been fixed to start with). So far as I know, there's no product key for items bought via the app store. Mac licences aren't transferable to Windows.
  5. One possible reason is that most image processing software makes adjustments to the RAW image before displaying it - AP may not be doing this. If you have a look at the Assistant Manager while you're in the Develop Persona you can see what's being changed (if anything). In particular, look to see if a tone curve is being applied.
  6. It's any sort of adjustment - the Navigator window is noticeably slower to reflect the changes.
  7. The Navigator window is slow to display changes, and the movable navigation "panel" is sluggish. <edit> It looks like the sluggish navigation panel was a one-off. After a restart, the updating is still slow, but navigation is OK.
  8. I thought this blocking was a feature of AP? I see it with files from different models of Fuji, Nikon, Pentax and Panasonic and I'm running AP under Win 10 on an i7 (with a puny graphics card).
  9. True, but have a look at this thread - it can be done! Serif's staff can't recommend this as a solution because it breaks the MS sandboxing. <edit> Sorry, didn't read @MEB's answer properly!
  10. Hi Chris It makes a difference, but the results aren't consistent! If I zoom in and out the image becomes a lot lighter. After that it might work or it might break the image into squares. Sometimes its the navigator image that breaks up, but there doesn't seem to be any consistency there either. I've tried 14bit DNG files and 12 bit RW2 files.
  11. The nested menus for Live Filters are nice, but the filters themselves don't show any effect in the main work space though they're showing an effect in the Navigator tab. Same problem with Filters and Adjustment layers.
  12. That's exactly what I was looking for - thanks! Thanks for that! It's more involved than the Quick Mask approach, but it can be used with any of the shapes.
  13. Which, of course, is entirely reasonable. I, however, do not need to be reasonable - have a look at this thread.
  14. It makes perfect sense - thanks! But does anyone know a way of rotating the selection marquees - not everything that needs selecting is on a horizontal or vertical.
  15. What was the solution? It's rare for there to be only one way of fixing things like this - it's good to share!
  16. Assuming you've downloaded AP, what's missing? If you've opened a RAW file you'll be in the Develop persona - you'll see more tools once the image has been developed.
  17. There's an old story about IBM employees finding that a particular shareware program was very useful and it ended up being installed on every PC in the company - rather than risk being sued, IBM bought millions of dollars worth of licenses. The story's probably apocryphal, but checking that all our PC software was properly licensed suddenly became a very hot topic! In this case, I just assumed that @utthan was making sure that the books were in order.
  18. That drawing expands to a huge number of layers - it takes almost 5 mins to export to JPEG on my i7 and even longer to export to PDF. There are probably better ways , but since you can't flatten the drawing you could try this - Take one of your "Star Dust" layers and change the fill colour to white. Copy it into a new drawing with a transparent background and then export it as a PNG. Start with your Background and then place the PNG over it a number of times - once you've got the first row done you can copy and paste a row at a time. Doing that took me less time than an export.
