Morning cfyckt, Sorry for the delay, (there's probably a substantial time difference in our two locations). As you have probably found out, the easiest way to locate the Beta site is open Affinity Photo, Help>Welcome, then click the "User Forums", (bottom right corner on the welcome dialogue box). Scroll down to Affinity Beta Software Forums>Affinity Photo Beta Forums, click "Photo Beta on Windows", select the appropriate Affinity Photo Windows Customer Beta. Currently [https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/forum/34-photo-beta-on-windows/]. Hope it helps.

Blend modes notes (52 A4 pages)
Woodkopf replied to dmstraker's topic in Tutorials (Serif and Customer Created Tutorials)
Hello Dave, thanks for sharing the pdf, really great. -
Apologies for late response, (playing catchup). On the DScolour Labs Technical Support webpage is a "Step by Step guide to Editing your image" (- http://dscolourlabs.co.uk/about/Technical_Support), which suggests photos should be edited in sRGB colour working space, softproofed using their Lustre or Gloss profiles, (which can be downloaded & installed). Then if you are happy with the result, to select the appropriate colour profile using "Edit/Convert to Profile". However at http://dscolourlabs.co.uk/about/NEWNEW_Technical_Support, they 'DSC' state "DON'T FORGET TO SAVE YOUR IMAGE IN sRGB AND USE THE CORRECT PAPER PROFILE IF REQUIRED." Which I find confusing.

I want to resize a TIFF image to use as a target to test existing printer drivers with a new photo paper, prior to creating a printer profile. The test TIFF image I want to use has no assigned profile, i.e. not sRGB, Adobe 1998 etc. I wish to resize it in Affinity Photo then export it again as a TIFF image. As soon as it is loaded, Affinity adds "Assigned Profile (Adobe 1998)....to this unprofiled document". My question is how can I export it without any colour enhancement being applied? Thanks for any help.

Microsoft Windows Developer Awards 2018
Woodkopf replied to Mark Ingram's topic in News and Information
Best wishes for a win. Needs more support though, I noticed "Todoist" is currently 35% and Affinity 26% David -
It's disappointing that the bug in Document>Resize Document appears to be unresolved, i.e. whatever the imported metadata has, 72, 96 etc. is what the output DPI is. (I use the work round to resize the DPI (typically 300) with "Resample" unchecked; then resize to the size of photo I want, with Resize> "Resample" checked. I then export to jpg ,via un-checking More>embed Metadata). But this is a known bug from day 1. Is it not scheduled to be fixed in 1.6?

Additionally, the brushes are controlled from the brush panel on the top right, (ringed in blue), extra brush types are available from the lower tab, by left mouse clicking the "Basic" tab.

Usually on a 'Surface', the left and right square cursor keys, below the "=" key will decrease or increase the size. Also with the brush tools, holding down the left and right mouse keys and the Alt key, then moving the mouse left and right will decrease and increase the brush size. If you then move the mouse up or down it will additionally adjust the hardness of the brush. Please see screen copy attached. Hope it helps?

It would be helpful to know the location in Windows for other members. -
Hi All, Just for the record, there are probably more newbies like me who occasionally have a crash, but ignore it as one probably thinks it's something carried out incorrectly. But having read the previous comments I realised I had also seen it before, so just checked that the problem is repeatable on two different computers: I am running two versions of Affinity Photo 1.5.0.45 both on Windows 10. A desktop with SSD & i7, 16GB and ASUS R9 280 graphics card, the other an ASUS laptop i5 with 6GB, both will crash with one photo displayed when you open Help for the second time - repeatable.

You should have received emails from Affinity shop, the "Affinity order confirmation...." email has a sentence halway down which states "Your free macro pack is available from here." the "here" is the link to the download, hope that helps?

WINDOWS PHOTO KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS
Woodkopf replied to mapline's topic in Tutorials (Serif and Customer Created Tutorials)
Hi Mapline, Thanks for the downloads and yes it will be very useful. Did you post the keyboard map a few weeks ago? I just tried searching for it without success. I note that you have not added Ctrl & Alt commands, however one very useful Alt command is Alt + left and right mouse keys together: - Horizontal drag of the mouse increases/decreases brush size, vertical movement increases/decreases the hardness. -
Because of size limitation, will do in 'ICC tranches' ICCs 1.zip

The Crash Reference dialog will be displayed when the application is restarted. Code: 0x80004003 Noting your response, I have attached the zipped CrashReports. CrashReports.zip

Maximum screen size problem
Woodkopf replied to Woodkopf's topic in [ARCHIVE] Designer beta on Windows threads
Thanks for the feedback. I did try searching for anything similar but did not find anything reported, sorry to waste your time. Great product, very much looking forward to AP on Windows. Best Wishes -
Affinity Designer Beta 1.5.0.5 on Windows 10 pro 64 bit; I7; Asus R9 280 Graphics Card; Dell E207WFP (1680 x 1050) & Dell U2412 (1920 x 1200) Monitors. Problem: When the right hand corner "maximise button" is utilised on the Affinity Window, using my Dell U2412 at the native screen resolution of 1920 x 1200 the Affinity Designer Window does not fit the screen correctly, it is much larger, so the whole window cannot be viewed. When I maximise the Affinity designer window on the Dell E207WFP it is fine. If I do the same on the larger Dell U2412 set to 1920 x 1200 I cannot see the whole window, i.e. the maximise button does not set the correct screen resolution size. Experimenting, the largest screen size that appears to work normally when the maximise button is used, is 1680 x 1050. 1920 x 1080 and 1920 x 1200 do not. Please see attached example screen capture at 1920 x 1200 when the maximise button has been utilised, showing bottom and right sides being cropped. (Maximising the 'reporting' window works OK at both of these resolutions.) Regards David
