outside PSD file update and automatically updating the currently opened PSD file for easy editing and sending back to 3Dcoat does not exist. 3Dcoat overwrites the PSD and you have to reopen the file if you made changes in 3Dcoat. Do not forget to activate in Preferences Enable Save over imported PSD files. Blender is slightly different, it will create new image files which will have after each sent to command get a number like 01, 02, 03 and so on. It feels more like the wished feature.

For 3Dcoat you have to use a different approach. another option to solve it,is to use the so called alias path which should be usable in your case. please try to paste this in; C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\WindowsApps\AffinityPhoto2.exe the username needs to be replaced with your Windows username. For your Windows username; go to your windows Startmenu (press windows button on your keyboard and click on the upmost button to reveal the username. same result but another way to know your unique username, type into the windows explorer the following; %LOCALAPPDATA% press enter.

@pjwaixingren For 3DCoat you have to use what the devs so far have posted on the forum, download the from the devs posted exe file, place it anywhere and link to that file in 3DCoat. For Blender just type in AffinityPhoto2.exe

Hello @MiWe we where advised to not share exe files on the forum and instead link to the solutions from the devs instead.

@pjwaixingren The Devs have uploaded this working solution so far, you have to link to that executable, it can be placed in a random folder of your choosing. I have it like this and it works (with everything else set to default settings - temporarily for testing purposes) For the question regarding why it is not working; please read this statement regarding the new fileformat called MSIX.

I would be fine with a top panel which offers a scrollwheel feature , saves even more clicks and offers more visual feedback.

In V2 there is no RTL support and there wasn´t any announcements in that regard nor is there a roadmap of future additions available.

The "cool if it works" is purely meant for any in the future related updates or upgrades of your used OS. Has Affinity Photo/Designer/Publisher V1 stopped working today or yesterday? if not it is to be expected. You could of course try to contact the customer support of Serif and ask if you might benefit of their grace period (bought the old Version just before the release/announcement)

People just need to acknowledge that they still have with V1 a perpetual license but it is now marked as legacy. Affinity Suite 1 will continue to work on the original target operating systems with any OS update till it got marked as legacy. Forward compatibility to new OS Updates or even OS versions can´t be guaranteed (cool if it works) and depends entirely on what Microsoft or Apple put as updates in their respective OS.

Signed in her since 2016 ( if it matters at all) , some complaints are imo warranted, some are indeed baffling and some are due to lack of usage knowledge. We should try our best as seasoned users/customers of affinity products to help newcomers where it is possible.

Bought it and using it currently. The Serif Team has tackled and solved an issue I had and it now works for the usual use cases I have.

The warning to make a copy of v1 files seems to have indeed vanished?
