Its just for a kid, its a way to personalize his o her books, notebooks, etc. Its very very common down here. In fact it's one of the most common requests for a Graphic Designer down here.
 

My latest poem Phoenix Rising using Affinity Publisher and Affinity Photo to create the layout.
I used PagePlus X9 to create the title using filter fx and preset styles and exported it as a 32bit PNG.  Then I placed the image onto the page in Affinity Publisher, although the colours are slightly different.

after watching a few affinity tutorials I thought I try out affinity designer by recreating a downloaded character from https://www.pinterest.com/pin/790170697102016941/. I used the bitmap gradient fill to texture ... 

Thanks for your comment! Here in Venezuela is very common for an illustrator to do this type of work, in fact, my wife is the one that does this type of work, but she is so full of work, that I had to help her with this two.

These are really fun! So amazing that a client actually commissioned an illustrator for doing custom schoolbook labels for their kids!
