Hi there guys,
I´ve been searching for a tutorial in the forums and in the vimeo channel and haven´t found a thing about hot to do 3D texts or how to 3D an existing object. I´m working on my brand, I´m trying to make a logo, but I want it to be 3D or at least have it as an option, but don´t kwon how to do it.
I would much appreciate your help on this.
Regards,
Jose A.

Dear Friends,
Once again with my mac, after 5 months without it. Im back to business, Im working on this party invitation for a 8 year old girl. Hope you like it.
By the way, I have a problem when exporting it to png or jpg, it exports as an small image, I have all the document settings right for a digital invitation as I used to do it before, but still shows small and pixeled. attached is the example.

Could someone tell what am I doing wrong?
Thank you very much!

I dont know if this post is right to be here but I dont know where to put it. I updated to the version 1.4.3 to be optimized for MacOS Sierra, but everytime I open AD my computer crashes. Is there a way to downgrade to 1.4.2?? Thanks a Lot!

hello people!
When do you expect this AD 1.5 update to be out?
Thanks!!

If you mean that you want this
instead of this
you just need to drag the shapes inside the big rectangle in the Layers panel:
If you drag an object while you have 'Snapping' turned on, green vertical lines and red horizontal lines will appear as you drag.
Thanks buddy!!!

Also I wanted to ask, how do I do to make AD to show the green lines that are used to align the elements.
Once Again Thanks!!

You could use a gradient fill with two overlapping nodes at the halfway point, but it might be simpler to align two semicircles so that there is no gap between them.
Thnak you buddy!!!

Hi there folks!!
I need your urgent help with this work Im in. I have designed this logo (please see pic attached) but I have a problem with the roots holes. You see the client wants it without background, in a PNG file. But I had to put the roots holes in white, if I remove the white roots holes, the logo looks awfully horrible!!! Can you help me please? I would like to know if there is a way to put holes with transparency?

Hello Baal_uriel
You can purchase either course. The course on Udemy was my first course. I created that one when affinity was version 1.2 I am in the process of adding new content for that course to reflect some of the new features in version 1.4, but all the existing content in that course covers all the basic tools and covers techniques that an illustrator / designer would use. I just released my lynda course. the focus of that course was for beginners and much of the content tent and topics cover are more so focused on graphic designers /artist. Both courses are for the Beginners and covers many of the same topics but from those two point of views. You would not be at a disadvantage from taking either course. The udemy course is a 1-time fee and you own access to that course for life. Also, there is a message board and an area to ask questions of me or other students in the course. The course on Lynda is a subscription service you can sign up and not only will you have access to my course but you will have access to the entire lynda catalog. By signing up to lynda you have access to the affinity photo course as well. that course was created by another author. Hopefully, I gave you enough to make a decision.
Cheer and Thank you!
Ronnie
Wow!! Thanks a lot for taking the time to answer me! sadly Im from Venezuela and dollars are a very very rare item down here (at least for normal people) and the lynda course, for now is out of my league, but I will buy the undemy course, and ask you all the doubts that may arise.
Thanks

Dear Ronnie,
I have crossed by coincidence with your course in udemy. It is the original? Can I buy it now? Or better wait until you publish another one? or go to lynda.com?

Thanks a lot buddy!!!

I figure it out! I watched the video once again and understood everything... I just need to download open source fonts, any recommendation?
