    The levels adjustment is showing you all the individual histograms for all the channels, on curves this only shows the single histogram for the channel that is selected. As the view area on the two adjustments is slightly different they are scaled slightly differently, but if you view the solid grey area in the levels adjustment, the shape is generally similar to that shown in the curves (albeit more stretched out due to the display area)

    Layer effects generally cannot be stacked. However there is a way around this using groups. You can apply the effect to the layer, then create a group that has just that layer and add another effect to that, the group that and add another effect and so forth.

     

    We may consider adding the ability to add multiples of an effect to a single layer at some point, but it's a bit too big a change for us to make right at this moment :)

  3. Hi all

     

    There is a known issue which aso affects the Mac side that images with metadata already embedded in it use that DPI when exported instead of the one that you set. Strippind the metadata in Photo or unticking include metadata when exporting stops this from occurring. Hopefully we can get round to solving this soon

    Unfortunately it sounds like the crash cause the file to be corrupt, most likely whilst it was saying. 0 byte files generally indicate this. Unfortunately there will not be anything we can recover from that file I'm afraid. If you go to %AppData%\Affinity\Designer\1.0 (Beta) there may be a backup in the backup folder than you can recover part of the file from
