    Hi All As Herbert has described if you right click on the thumbnail of the mask you are able to select copy from the context menu and then paste using the edit menu. You may then have to move the mask onto the layer you want. I shall take a look into the performance for the mask refining

    Hi Herbert 123 The layer effects are basically the same code between apps so if it affects one it will most likely be the same in the other app too. This is still something that is still unresolved in our database. I've move this to this thread which has a lot more information on it so we can keep this all together

    Hi Cristy Are you using a particular mouse or pen input? Do you have any additional keyboard or mouse software installed such as that which may have come with the mouse?

    Hi Griff Thanks for reporting this. I'm able to replicate the crash, but it only seems to occur for 16bit images for me. I'll get this logged

    Hi Julius** I'm able to get the Viveza plug in working in general. However there is a known issue with the app crashing when adding a control point

    Hi surfgeek Currently we don't support scripting in Affinity, but it may come in the future. I'm moving this to the questions thread incase any other of our users has some ideas or workaround that may help you :)

    Hi Skipper This is a common issue with Microsoft's Windows Update, both the online and stand alone installer, especially on Windows 7. Although we require the update to run, the actual download and install of the update is not something we are involved in, at this point it's purely Microsoft.

    Hi olcalzavara We are already aware of the crash with the control points in the Nik plugins. For the brush shortcut this seems to be working fine for me, when you say is not working what is happening for you when you use the shortcut?

    Hi WeiPhotoArts This is peculiar! I have never seen this before and have no idea what could be causing it! Is it only with this specific set of image or is it occurring for all images you have?

    Hi Michail The levels adjustment is showing you all the individual histograms for all the channels, on curves this only shows the single histogram for the channel that is selected. As the view area on the two adjustments is slightly different they are scaled slightly differently, but if you view the solid grey area in the levels adjustment, the shape is generally similar to that shown in the curves (albeit more stretched out due to the display area)

    Thanks Artem F This is something that also affects the Mac side so we are already aware of it. Hopefully it will get sorted in an update!

    Hi Dolosus Umbra, welcome to the forum Layer effects generally cannot be stacked. However there is a way around this using groups. You can apply the effect to the layer, then create a group that has just that layer and add another effect to that, the group that and add another effect and so forth. We may consider adding the ability to add multiples of an effect to a single layer at some point, but it's a bit too big a change for us to make right at this moment :)

    Hi all There is a known issue which aso affects the Mac side that images with metadata already embedded in it use that DPI when exported instead of the one that you set. Strippind the metadata in Photo or unticking include metadata when exporting stops this from occurring. Hopefully we can get round to solving this soon

    Hi GammaGreen Unfortunately it sounds like the crash cause the file to be corrupt, most likely whilst it was saying. 0 byte files generally indicate this. Unfortunately there will not be anything we can recover from that file I'm afraid. If you go to %AppData%\Affinity\Designer\1.0 (Beta) there may be a backup in the backup folder than you can recover part of the file from

    HI AlainP Do you have a pen an tablet installed? The menus tend to do this to accommodate the 'Handedness' set in Windows if you do. If you set the pen to be left handed in windows then it moves the menu back to being over to the right. It doesn't seem to affect the actual operation of the pen. Cheers
