  1. Hi Morne The crop and selections generally don't follow any snapping rules, except the edge of the document which allows the non destructive crop to return to the images full size. This behaviour is intentional
  2. I jullit31 There seems to be a general issue with the view no auto refreshing. 'll make sure this gets logged
  3. Hi verysame That's good to hear. Always enjoy hearing about our user's success stories! Hope you continue to enjoy using the app as we develop it further :)
  4. Hi all Thanks for letting us know about these. The Raw engine is constantly being updated. It looks like this could be due to camera profile not being read as well as ongoing support for Sigma cameras but I shall look into this further
  5. Hi TEcHNOpls We do allow you you to go beyond some of the slider ranges. Due to UI space we try to limit the sliders to a range that is most commonly used, however we are aware that there may be time when more extreme setting may be needed so we allow you to enter them. this can be especially useful with some of the layer effects which scale with objects
  6. Hi Opera I wouldn;t really cll this a bug as the current method is functional. However i do feel there is a strong feature request here so I shall more this to our feature requests section
  7. Hi Freek The camera profile drop down should actually not be there. We currently do not read camera profiles when opening RAW files. The drop down was from the previous attempt we tried to do so, which was not deemed as good as it could be, so we pulled the feature for the time being.
  8. Thanks Zox, I'll get this passed over to our translation guys
  9. Hi Maatzey If you have a group that contains only adjustments or filters then this will affect layers outside the group. This sort of group can usually be seen by a folder thumbnail for the group. As soon as you add a non adjustment or filter layer such as a pixel layer, the adjustments will only affects what is in that group and not the layers below
  10. Hi Pollux I'm guessing you mean the sample point for the info panel in the develop persona You are able to change the position of these. In the develop persona if you click on the sample point cross in the info panel and drag it out on to the image you can choose where to place it. A loupe appears to allow you to place it on a certain pixel This does differ slightly from the Photo Persona which does allow you to move them with the move tool also (but develop does not have this tool) You are able to set more than four points up this way too, I don't believe there is currently a limit
  11. Hi Paul I believe we purposely switch the view to the refine view to allow you to refine the mask without the distraction of the filter. This is most useful for using the edge detection of the refine mode which could mbe a lot harder to determine with the filter applied especially if you are using a distortion. You can paint directly on the adjustment layer to edit it's mask with the filter still showing if you wish to work that way
  12. Hi Michail I've tried these filters on a few different systems and they seem to be performing as expected and they show the live update as you change the values. Are you using a specific graphics card or onboard graphics?
  13. Hi Ablichter Whilst there is no way to change an icc profile within the batch dialog itself, you can create a macro which changes to a different profile and then apply the macro in the batch dialog
  14. Hi TEcHNOpls If you drag the image onto the thumbnail it creates a crop for that layer. To get the image to appear in the diamond shape, drag the image in the layers tab to just below the layer you want it to be in. You should see a short blue highlight under the layer which will indicate that the image will be placed inside the layer rather than cropping it. This sound more like what you are trying to achieve. For the thumbnails taking a while to update, that is a known issue
  15. Hi Jimalbro The export an image to a variety of file formats use File > Export rather than save. Once you have chosen our export format and have clicked exported you will be prompted for a location to save the export to which does look similar to the regular save dialog
  16. Hi grumpyphotographer, welcome to the forums Unfortunately the DxO plug ins are not currently compatible with the Affinity apps. I have no doubt this will change as we continue to improve plug in support, but we also require the plug in manufacturers to support the app in some cases too
  17. Hi AlainP I would expect the live filter to take longer is it is constantly updating it's preview and does take a bit more processing power. With the destructive filter, the filter applied directly to the layer so flattening the image doesn't really do anything (unless you added other layers before this). With the live filter layer there is actually something to flatten so I would expect it to use more of the processor. Although I would would have expected it to take far less than 10 minutes! I'll take a look into this
  18. Hi Joel This was a general issue with build 37, but it should be sorted now in build 38 :)
  19. Hi pdophoto The presets for panels other than Basic do seem to be quite broken. I shall make sure this gets logged Thanks
  20. Just to add to Patrick's post, also ensure you have the latest Windows updates installed as we do require the KB2919355 update on Windows 8.1
  21. Hi NFG Our Frequency Separation is based on the high pass and subtract method on only produces the two layers. It was deigned to provide that in a single step rather than having to use calculations and add blurs separately. I;m not sure on a method to create the more advance smoothing you are used too, but we don't have a dedicated tool or process for it in Affinity beyond what you have already found. I shall leave this to someone with a bit more knowledge in the community to provide a process that may suit your needs
  22. Hi vegasabel I'm going to move this to our feature requests section for consideration
  23. Hi KiboOSt Thanks for raising this. I'm sure this is something we shall certainly look into when we sort out volume licencing options
  24. Hi pdophoto Each app does apply a different tone curve due to the nature of the raw enginge. Some use information from the camera profile which we currently do not. I'm glad you managed to find a method that makes the image appear more acceptable for you though
