Thanks Depa
I managed to get it to crash using the macro so I have passed this over to the development team also

Hi Depa
Thanks for the file. I've been able to replicate the crash but only with the file you have sent me. If i try with a fresh image and create a macro to add the same adjustments, cannot get the crash to occur. Would you be able to export the macro you used and attach it here So I can try that?
Thanks

Hi Laurentia
Thanks for reporting the crash I;ve gotten this logged. I'll look into the 32bit issue and get that reported too. I see you also posted on the Mac forum so I will also cover that at the same time :)

Hi Depa
Thanks for the crash report. This seems like it might be a little more complex than just painting on the unsharp mask filter. What other elements/processes did you have in the image at the time?

Hi MarvinR
In the video the slider is set to percentage, for some reason it is set by default to 8-bit in Windows. We are aware of the difference. If you want to change it to percentage to match the video you can choose it from the colour panel preferences

Hi Kyle
The layers in Affinity work slightly differently in Affinity then perhaps you are used to.
There isn't really a method to achieve what you are after using clipping however there are other ways. Adjustment layers in Affinity are also masks within themselves rather than having a linked mask like in PS. This allows you to paint directly on the adjustment layer to edit it's masking. Therefore one method to achieve the above would be to paint on the curves to create your mask area, go to Select > Selection from layer which should select your masked area, then add the HSL adjustment which will then be automatically masked to the selection area without having to add any additional masks
If you already have the adjustments applied like in your screenshot you can group them and apply a mask to the group or move the one you already have on to it. Alternatively you can use the above selection method and create a second mask for the HSL adjustment which is the same by just clicking create mask

Hi rjo, welcome to the forums
How strange. are you able to delete the beta and re-download it and see if it is any better for you?

Hi Marj
Other than the flowers and the bench there is not a lot of red in that image, so I would not expect it to have much of an effect. Try with a different image such as a portrait that contains much more red and you should see more of an effect. Same for the other colours. The results are really dependant on the information in the image.

Hi Mome
Thanks for reporting this. I shall take it you are just clicking rather than clicking and dragging with the picker? It seems to not be creating a history command for setting the white balance so it doesn;t realise it has when you click away. it seems to be general rather than specific to 32bit images I'll get this logged

Hi Mary-Lou
The selected tool is remembered for that document instead of globally across the app. This is intended behaviour

Hi all
I;m moving this to the feature requests section to be considered

Thanks Alfred
This is also on the Mac. It should probably do this for constancy so I shall get this logged

Hi haitashe
When you say the image is moving do you mean the the image underneath the brush stroke eg the sewing machine image? From what I can see from your screenshot you are using a 1px brush which will appear pixellated. Although I'm not really sure exactly what it is you are seeing. are you able to provide any video or some more detailed screenshots or steps so we can investigate this further
That depends upon the dynamics of the brush. The brush texture is laid along the stroke as you draw, so it will often change as the stroke gets longer.
This is true of vector brushes you would find in Designer but not the raster brushes in the Photo app which basically repeat the single texture image

Hi Thorsten
Are you able to provide an example file that demonstrates the issue so we can look into it? You can use this link to upload it

Hi xseryd
Thanks for reporting this, it is something we do know about so hopefully it will get solved soon :)

Hi Veidd
If you have both images open in affinty then the colour picker will one apply to the active document, which as the time is the second image you picked the colour from. However, on the colour panel the small circle next to the colour picker there will change and this will carry over between documents. You can click on this circle with the objects selected to apply the colour

HI Paul
The refine selection does take a longer time the larger the area you are trying to refine. It does need to finish the process before you can move on. Are you doing a large area or do you find doing multiple smaller areas is quicker?
Thanks

Hi Camille
Ctrl+J or going to Layer > Duplicate should work fine. If the keyboard shortcut is not functioning for you, can you try resetting the shortcuts in the preferences dialog. If it still doe snot function can you let us know what keyboard layout you are using?
Thanks

Hi Régal
Our tiff export is quite complicated so there is something in the format that both GIMP and Easy Photo print EX does not like. Similar tiff files from PS also throw up these errors which are also pretty complicated. Are you able to print the tiff without using the included Canon software, eg straight form Affinity Photo or directly from Microsoft's picture viewer?

Hi MarvinR
Thanks for raising this, this is due to some changes there were made to the help but not fully pulled into the build. This should be fixed for the next beta build

32 bit profile still ignored in beta 42

Hi Laurentia
Do you already have the image open in the develop persona when you change it to develop in 32bit as well as change the 32bit profile? I do get the coour profile to stick but it needs to be assigned before the image is opened. If you are already doing this are you able to get it to stick with another colour profile instead of the hassleblad one?
