  1. Hi Toonybrain It's not just you it's something we are trying to track down but it does seem to be something in images for documents that start as PDFs. Are you able to provide the PDf you started with at all? I can provide a link to upload to if this is required Thanks
  2. HI Sabine 108 are you able to provide the file you are exporting to PDF at all? Setting rasterise to nothing pretty much negates the flatten aspect so it would be useful to see what is in the file that may cause the shift Thanks
  3. Hi jimowers Where are you printing this PDF from? is it from an external viewer or within an Affinity app? If it is an external app you are printing from it's going to be more the settings in the print dialog for that app than our PDF. Cheers
  4. Hi Headway you can select the characters and use the baseline option on the character panel to shift them up or down. The sub/super script form the typography section depends on what typographical options that particular font supports whilst the other drop down forces this state on the characters if it is natively supported or not Thanks
  5. Hi blw, hate to say it but this pretty much seems like user error to me. If you select a picture frame which has a picture associated with it (you can nest and clip images like other layers but these are not associated with the frame itself, you will see a small square with an x if it is associated with the frame) using the picture frame tool you will get the tools you seek. If you do have this setup and are not seeing the controlscan you provide screenshots or even a file so we can take a look thanks
  6. Hi Joachim M This may be easier to look into if you are able to provide some examples where this is happening for you Cheers
  7. Hi Quinwolf It's very difficult to tell without being able to look at our file but does your old document have any snapping to baseline grids applied either locally or as part of a text style? the grids do not always need to be made visible to be able to snap to them. I feel something like this could be the cause and if it was saved in an older file maybe explain why it does not occur in a newer one as these are off by default
  8. Hi Jeremy Welcome to the forums I'm moving this to our suggestions forum to be considered by the development team Thanks
  9. HI CarlM Selecting a pantone colour actually creates a new document palette and add it as a global colour. This only happens the first time as this is when the palette is created afterwards it uses the same palette. This is actually intended behaviour
  10. Hi thomasbellili I'm going to take that as you do not have the file that caused the crash to provide to us? Do you have any crash reports or anything you could provide. Without these things it is very difficult to determine what may have caused your crash Thanks
  11. Hi jaftwo If in explorer if you go to %temp%/AffinitySetup and in the folders in there see if there is a Setup.long and SetupUI.long and attach them here for us to look into at all? Thanks
  12. Hi We're currently tryng to get to the bottom of this If you download the latest version directly instead of using auto update does it install fine for you?
  13. HI stevejharris In explorer if you go to %temp%/AffinitySetup and in the folders inside see if there is a setup.log and a SetupUI.log and attach them at all? These will help us understand why the install is failing Once you have them can you try restarting your machine and seeing if it will allow you to install? If not you may need to try re-downloading the install as it may have been an incomplete download cheers
  14. Is your version of Windows 64 or 32bit? we do run it on virtual machines here without too much issue but as we are pretty hardware reliant we cant say we fully support virtual machines as some do not talk to the hardware in the exact same way that a normal machine would
  15. Thanks for the info Alan It is an issue that we are still very much trying to track down but hopefully we will be able to solve it soon. Usually if you restart your machine it will let you install the full version fine
  16. Hi philhendry This sounds like the update failed so it installed the full thing instead which is it's default behaviour in that situation. It should generally keep your setting but as the app is changing we do rest them from time to time within the beta. But this should not be the case once released
  17. This is usually when the file is being accessed by something else or open in another application. I could be a case that it being on a cloud drive there is still something being used by the app like a backup copy. Closing the app would release this. I'll have to look into this one a bit more to see what might be happening Cheers
  18. Hi jmwellborn This is due to being in Light UI, Our current apps exhibit the same behaviour. On Windows the orange is kept in light UI but can be slightly more difficult to see. As light UI was made on Mac first,, I image i is windows that need updating here Cheers
  19. Hi Finzin You can create single or double master pages but regular pages will always be double in a facing page document. the type of master you use does not have any bearing on this cheers
  20. Hi Wosven glad you found it. I have been considering that having the name o the spread properties may be worthwhile too
  21. Hi Mike It's the button with the horizontal lines next to the preset name. You'll find the option there as well and an option to delete it Thanks
  22. Unfortunately there is not a replace all option for images. but is shall move this thread into the suggestions forum for the developers to consider this Thanks
  23. Hi carstent Are you on 162? his was an issue but should have been sorted in the latest build. If you are on 162 can you give a bit more detail about your setup? Thanks
  24. Hi Mike This is a know issue that has crept in with some new view options for placed PDFs. We are aware of it and should hopefully have it solved soon Cheers
