In addition to this, if group has a mask applied, result is empty layer.

If I merge two layers under a group that has some effects applied, as well as different opacity/blending mode, result will have these settings applied to it. Expecting just two layers merged with no inherited options applied.

Double clicking on brushes i created (using New brush from selection) opens up incorrect brush for editing. Clicking More on the bar opens the correct brush. Brushes attached. Brushes.afbrushes

Tried to replicate issue in Aseprite and it never occurs. @dgtrv Will try this, thanks! EDIT: Can't seem to revert to previous driver, it shows a warning that installation is failed and I should contact manufacturer. Hmm! 6.3.42-1 is only driver installs fine. Maybe some kind of M1/Big Sur compatibility issue?

Oh and sometimes if I'm too fast, the eyedrop mode or erase mode won't even activate. One would think Apple M1 should be fast enough for that ;]

For some reason sometimes COMMAND or OPTION toggle would 'lock up' and pixel brush tool will start erasing (as if CMD is held) or eye dropping (as if OPTION is held) instead of drawing. I even pulled up keyboard viewer to check it wasn't my keyboard acting up.

Pixel brushes with even sizes are not placed in expected positions (coordinates rounding error?)

When I start two-finger scroll on my trackpad while cursor is over document, document scrolls fine. When I let go, Layers palette starts scrolling with same momentum direction as document should've scrolled, transferring momentum for no reason. Bug still in 1.9.0.215. Very frustrating, basically unable to use brush tool on layers without resorting to palette.

When I click layer palette tool shortcuts stop working, producing the 'error' mac sound. If I then click inside document, shortcuts begin working again. As if focus on the tools/document is lost. I'm in Separated mode, if thats important.

Thanks for the update @Gabe! Also, am I dumb or is there no way to make brushes that are not just color stamps now? I make Image brush or brush from selection and both are not affected by tool color.

Bitmap brushes i made a while back for pixelart are buggy: some don't paint, some are wrong. It looks like if pixel brush had odd size it would work incorrectly. You can see 1px don't even register and 21x21 brush that is diamond-shaped checkerboard paints a blob instead of checkerboard. Brushes file attached. Using pixel tool, obviously. Pixel art.afbrushes

There should be an option to copy and paste layer effects 1:1, without any changes to parameters. When copying and pasting layer effects, editor would change some parameters like sizes, offsets, blurs etc. Assuming it compensates layer size differences. When working on UI its very annoying to keep values in sync between layers.

Preset is pre-set. It shouldn't change. Unless user forces overwrite or somehow confirms the action of updating the preset with new settings. Just my 2c.

Merging pixel layers under a group with layer effect applied will 'render/bake' the effect on to resulting merged layer. Let me know if i should post this as a separate thread in beta bugs forum.

Definitely, and i do that sometimes. But it means it will affect the output, which is not ideal.

I miss this from other apps, and its a big deal when you're working on white icons or assets for UI. Please consider adding a checkerboard slider (or even better, bright/dark color selector) into preferences!
