  1. Grouping all layers need manual work. And I need to marge all layers with the same names without lots of selecting and clicking: this will be for example my layer stack: a b c d e f a b c d e f and than i will need marge all layers that have name aa, bb, cc, dd, ee, ff and again i will duplicate them and marge again and back to beginning duplicate and marge again... So I really need to have ability to marge or select layers that have the same name.
  2. Unfortunately it is massive drawback that affinity doesn't support any scripting language. And it is crucial for me to have ability to merge all layers that have the same name, or at least be able to select all layers with the same name using one click. Any Idea guys how can I do this? For example I have 20 layers with name equal abc Sadly when I record macro and use "select layer named abc, and then when I play this macro, only the last layer with the name abc is selected. Please can you implement this kind of feature?

  4. I can recommend C# api instead python. It will be cross platform and modern and much faster.
  5. I agree for me the greatest disadvantage for Affinity Raw processing is that, Affinity is not compatible with Adobe xmp metadata files attachet to raw files, even more the changes made with Lightroom in dng raw is not visible in Affnity Photo when you open modified dng file in Lightroom, and those changes are baked into dng files. So +1 here
  6. Ness, In my opinion Companies don't port to Linux because they software is full of not tested, legacy code, that is by some miracle don't fall a part by itself. And that kind of code is not near for them to be able to cross-platform it without spending serious money to Rewrite almost all codebase. Look at any new modern cross platform software like for example game engines Unity, Unreal, Godot, this kind of products in point of code standard portability are feature. The cross platform is the only feature in software development right now. Even MS know it, and bought Xamarin and give it free to masses.
  7. This can be easily resolved by composing software in this matter so you can extend your program capabilities by buying separate persona inside you program. For example you bought Affinity Photo, and you want to have designer capabilities so you can buy in your Affinity Photo designer persona and voila! Then you can buy for example dark room persona, then video editing persona, then maybe vector animation persona, 3D modeling persona etc... One software to rule them all ;)
  8. Yesterday I searched for lightweight video editor some NLE with good slideshow capability and nice video transition, effect, color grading etc. And I have found none that can replace Adobe solutions. So i have feature request to add basic video and slide show support to Affinity Photo similar in features to PS or Lightroom. Or even better I will be super happy if Affinity will come with Premiere or After Effect equivalent.
  9. Like all iStuff from some company with a fruit in their name ;) Guys just put your workbooks in the PDF or Amazon Kindle and sell them with profit and with your customers gratitude :) After all you are now not only in "the high quality iObjects world", you are in the Windows world too ;)
  10. Hi, first of all thank you for porting Affinity Designer and Affinity Photo to windows... by this smart move you earn one more happy customer :) I mess around with Panorama Stitching in Affinity Photo and I have my own feature request to it. Is there any chance to implement additional projection types to panorama stitching in Affinity Photo like equirectangular, cylindrical, cube map.. and others. And possibility to translate stitched panorama between them? I really miss those features. Currently I need to use PTGui, or PS witch flexify-2 plugin.
  11. Unfortunately you are just wrong. Disney/Pixar, DreamWorks Animation, Sony, ILM and other movie production studios from Hollywood are using Linux to produce their movies. Hollywood just love linux, and most 3D artists use linux for more professional and complex reason then most of MAC users. Linux is really great OS for professionals, and not so great for normal users. I can't understand why affinity team don't see that the $500.000 cup for developing Affinity suit on Linux is not that unreal as they may think. I hope they sell many copies of affinity photo for windows users and then reconsider linux edition.
