+1 This would be SO handy to have in Affinity Photo. I'm actually a bit surprised that it isn't in the application already.

Adding my +1 to a Hide Selection feature. I very much miss this feature from Photoshop.

Nlbrmn reacted to rgcn in AD Windows freebies for Mac users?
I am a bit annoyed that I kept getting this offer to purchase the windows version considering I am a Mac user that purchased the Mac version of Designer (and Photo), and that the offer for the freebies was only for the windows version.

It feels like you left your faithful Mac users out in the cold on this one.

Nlbrmn got a reaction from rgcn in AD Windows freebies for Mac users?
I would like to know if the DAUB and Box Set brushes are available for Mac users, especially ones who just recently purchased Designer.

If so, how would Mac users go about claiming them?
(If not, why not? It's just a little bit "off" that the Windows freebies are different from the Mac ones, so close to the two offers.)

    Thanks in advance,

Nlbrmn got a reaction from Yarkspiri in Stroke path with brush? (is it possible AP?)
I'd like to stroke a path with a brush in AP too and am unable to figure out how. (I don't own AD.) This would be a very welcome feature.

    Indeed!

And we hope that Serif take their inspiration from Aperture AND NOT from Lightroom.

Aperture still a wonderful UI and such a shame that Apple have moved away from pros ... but it's another opportunity for Serif.

Constraining brush movements by holding down modifier keys is a missing feature that is felt almost every day …  :(

It would make drawing straight lines for design work much easier.

Nlbrmn got a reaction from aapedMum in Importing Photoshop documents?
I'm new to Affinity Photo and have watched a number of the tutorial videos... I very much like what I am seeing so far.

As I have own Adobe Photoshop CS5, I have quite a bit of work in Photoshop format... Is there a way to import Photoshop files so as to keep their layers/channels/text layers intact and editable?

    Thanks,

    Hi Nlbrmn,
    Welcome to Affinity Forums :)
You can set the Fill and Stroke colours in the context toolbar when you have the Shape or Move Tools selected (what @Rickey called tool options panel  - right above the work area - see screeshot) or using the panels on the right of the interface (you can use either the Colour or Swatches panels).
