mybonniedesigns reacted to voldie in Affinity Photo: Simplest On-layer operations
    Hello,

I have a relatively easy task which I must do alot and often. My designers are sending me images (web design stuff, for example) which are lacking in juxtaposition. Using Photoshop, just select areas and move them to other places on the image, sometimes rotating selected areas or changing size of mask. In Photoshop it's rather easy and fast - select area, hold modifier (to duplicate contents for example) and move selection contents to another place. However, I haven't been able to do the same stuff in Affinity Photo. When I try to move selection, it's selection (and not content) OR whole layer that moves. I have to manually copypaste selection contents to new layer, move it and then get back to original layer to clear the hole. Is there any other way? In-app help doesn't helped.
