If apple have made it possible for us to achieve better results , what should we do? The same amount of effort are going into both and one is giving better results because of the Mac ecosystem. Complain to Microsoft as we want everything to be the best. Why would you assume anything else? Our answers are honest and open.
It's OK Patrick, all is well.

It's more than clear that we, the windows users are a second grade citizens in Serifs new Apple centric business model. Reading their replies says it all.

I'm not familiar with this, what are the benefits?

Ah. Right, that setting is just for presenting the document to the screen, the work of rendering the content is still done on the CPU. We do have plans for GPU acceleration, I have started it, but the trouble with Windows is, there is far greater variation in potential hardware, in comparison to the macOS ecosystem.
Just take your time Mark, no rush Oh and please include AMD APUs if possible

Do windows 1.7 versions of AP and AD get performance improvements as their macos counterparts?

Very complicated :-)
It's something we're actively talking about here, but it would require re-writing the UI completely from scratch (we don't share any UI between iPad and Desktop apps).
Ok, thanks for the reply and the new beta

Just a question : how complicated would it be to add a tablet (iPad like) view for those using surface and surface like devices? I'm sorry for this off topic, but I didn't want to make another thread.

Any word on Affinity DAM?

I must admit to being a little confused! In the other thread the OP wrote:
If that’s the case, why do we need a separate ARM version?
WoA can emulate x86(32bit) apps/programs (with a noticeable performance hit). The reason I ask this again is because according to Microsoft developers can compile their win32(64bit)/uwp programs using their new arm64 sdk to make them run natively with no to little additional work needed.

I think @Pšenda was hinting that it would have been better to ‘bump’ the original thread by posting to it again, rather than creating a separate thread on the same topic.
Yea, I guess that would do

Cuz that was almost 2 years ago.

Are there any plans for arm version?

I like.... no, love this

Guys sorry for asking here, but the same questions asked in "Questions" sections remain unanswered. I want to know are wacom hand gestures working with this new AP build? I had a friend come over to my place some time ago to test his wacom intuos pro M (2017) with AP and zoom worked, same cant be said for rotating and dragging.
-
Any plans on tutorial series on udemy or something? Amazing work as always btw.

Just updated to latest Wacom Drivers to see if it was the issue....now using Wacom Intuous 4M with driver 6.3.21-10
Unfortunately it has not resolved the issue :(What kind of pc do you have man? Mine works just fine and I have a Core2Duo E7400/8GB/HD4670, using One by Wacom (bamboo level of tablet, nothing fancy)

Is there a bug report already filed for Affinity crashing frequently while scrolling up/down with a mouse-wheel? I crash it several times a day while zooming in/scrolling with the mouse.
The issue carries over to Designer as well, I recently downloaded the free trial of Designer, and it crashed with the same error.
I don't have that problem :/

wacom input looks good to me.
-
Very nice, love it :)

I think what Novak has in mind is does Photo license BINDS to the machine somehow? Let say i buy one license and use it on PC#1. Then after a year i will buy a new PC (PC#2). Can i uninstall Photo from PC#1 (because i won't use it on it anymore) then install it with the same license key on PC#2 and use it for commercial uses.?
Yeap, that was my question.
-
Yes, if you use it for non-commercial purposes (I can't remember what the licence says, I have a feeling it says 3 computers - but don't take my word for it, make sure you check). If you use it for commercial reasons (i.e. your job or business requires it) then you need a licence per machine.
But I can still transfer it even if I use it for commercial reasons? I'm not gonna have it on this pc when I get me a new one.
GPU, disappointed

As Mark said, they're still "researching it".
