Can anybody please explain what this does please? I have a Nvidia 3060 which is checked in preferences along with open Cl hardware compute acceleration. Should I make an entry in my Nvidia settings for the affinity programs?

Just curious. When I draw a line/circle etc and use artistic text to create text on a path in either AP and AD the line disappears after I create the text on a path. For me when I do this in AP the line remains. I can workaround by setting the line size to none. Is this how its supposed to work in AP, or is it my installation, or a bug? Cheers John

I am considering doing away with my laptop and going to purchase another desktop from PC world. Have looked at this one would it be suitable for running the Affinity suite? Cheers John

I had spent quite a lot of time putting the trunk on the legs from the two images it was just trying to get the tone of his face somewhere I wanted to best match the others.

Can anybody please give me some advice on how to alter the tone of the circled face to reflect more like the other images on this collage. I have tried a multitude of combinations with no real success. Cheers John

After a lot of head scratching on how to connect my Huion Pro 16 tablet to my PC I finally manged to install it via an adapter to one of my display port outlets on my Nvidia 3060 RTX. I am now confronted with how to set it up on Win11. So I am hoping someone more knowledgeable that I can help. Ideally the solution would be to use the tablet from a mirrored screen from my 2nd monitor leaving the first monitor for everyday work as needed. Unless someone has a better solution. I am in my mid 70' so this sort of thing does not come easy, so please treat me gentle. Thank you John

Just out of curiosity the texture line style is visible in APhoto in the stroke panel as an option. This has never worked for me in Photo. My question is " should this option/icon be here at all in APhoto"?

In the brushe categories these icons show up beside the named brush. What do these icons signify please? I seem unable to move the brush categories up or down individually to re-arrange them, is this not possible?

Ok Picture Quiz went live last night, 7 teams of 4/6 all thought the quiz presentation was different and pleasing on the eye. Winning team scored 15. all other teams scored 9 or above, It was handed out at the start of the evening, handed in at end of the evening. Only 4 teams got number 4.

My latest picture quiz round. Tv set created in designer. 20 placeholders inside the TV image for the images. All images converted to B&W and a levels adjustment on the majority of images. I created masks to obliterate the backgrounds in the images to take away the fussy details. in APhoto. designed on an A4 will be enlarged to A3 one per team on the night. Comments on the creation and final (almost) presentation as always are welcome. have fun with identifying the faces. As always I look forward to @William Overington blistering observations which are 2nd to none

Yes you are correct @Alfred He is as you say Russian and his name is Pyotr (Peter in English) Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Cannot make them all too easy there would be no point to a quiz otherwise. I did not know 5 even though I recognised the character he was famous for playing and 13 myself

So Alfred what's the running theme? How many have you recognised. Bearing in mind this is a team game and you are coming at this on your own, so you do not have others to pool their knowledge with you. That aside what did you think of the presentation overall for a picture quiz?

I create most of the Quizzes for my local bowls club and I always l try to make the half time break quiz a bit different. Most of the time I just hash a picture quiz together with no shape of form but I thought of this design for the latest picture quiz. the 16 Box layout and numbers created in Designer. The rest of the work in Photo. I usually just pick images at random but sometimes with a theme. This one has a theme which once guessed makes the quiz even easier.

Once again thank you everybody for your comments for which I am most grateful. @GarryP wrote the green ‘music icon’ just above the scroll has a box around it. Yes and I only noticed it after you pointed it out. Is weird though It is a copy and pasted of the black png from the lower down as are all of the other musical notes within the heart shape. All I have done is rescaled them and given them a flood fill. The only way it would of been possible to eradicate this was to mask it out or use the erase tool. I have not been able to replicate this bounding box That said the best laid plans can sometimes go awry. The tickets where printed at the club by a volunteer and cut up to go on sale this evening. Only for me to receive a call this afternoon to say that page one had been printed 12 times instead of all pages being printed. This obviously resulted in page one numbers 1-9 was printed 12 times ha ha. So with the office now being closed with no access to the PC or colour laser until Monday I created a small box and power duplicated this 100 times onto a sheet of A4 then enter the numbers 1-100. I printed this out on my B&W laser, my wife then went over the club and with the help of the steward cut these up and stuck them on the ticket number entry in time to be on sale this evening as scheduled. ( Note...we have a lucky program draw during the break)
