@Alfred Title now altered Ha ha. I took a couple of (£10 and £15 plus postage off of ebay, one even had a SanDisk Ultra 200 GB microSDXC Memory Card) these little cameras with me on the cruise along with my Canon EOS 90D and I was pleasantly surprised at how well they performed.

Image taken in a waterproof housing on a Crosstour action camera CT9000 in Flam Norway. Played around a lot with it in AP and I am quite pleased with the end result apart from missing off part of the Bow

Is there a setting anywhere in the Forum where it can be set to dark mode at all please?

Good afternoon @GarryP Thanks for the CC " Niggles" have addressed some of them (1-4) 1 I have absolutely no idea, they were all full stops, but as you said the last was smaller. I deleted it and re-added a full stop and it then became the same size, they were all at 12.7 before and after. One again, I am grateful for your comments. ( 5 &6 ) unchanged (7) Fade lines added. (8) Difficult decision with this, it was a collage of 4 images, it looks (to me) better with the shadows than without. So unchanged. (9) I felt so, might cheer folks up with the dark days of February. (10) you are correct, It's one I made some time ago, it is what it is. (11) Not as far as I am aware.

font download/Installtion.
pioneer replied to pioneer's topic in Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
Thanks everybody, I am glad it was not just me going nuts! -
I have a bit of a small problem with this font. After watching the tutorial How to Create Halftone Text in Affinity Photo by @TrentL I decided to give this a go. I downloaded the Comic Hero font from Dafont as a zipped file and installed all 3 files, it only shows up as 1 file in Affinity photo and it does not show up at all in my High Logic Main type font program. Looking at my font folder in win 11 it only shows 1 file. As I said its not big problem just curious

Thank you @walt.farrell. Solved the problem. The text panel would not appear with my saved workspace, I changed it to the default workspace and it appeared Could that be a bug I wonder? -
data merge labels
pioneer replied to pioneer's topic in Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
@walt.farrell. Thank you for the link, sadly when trying to wade through this at my age it does not come easy. In my version 2.5.3 of publisher I could not find the field panel in the studio to use, however when reading the help file I saw that I could select via references. Sadly when I tick the box nothing seems to appear in my workspace. I am in my late 70's so please treat me gently, I really would like to get my head around producing labels in Affinity Publisher and leave PagePlusX9 behind. Cheers John -
Avery Label L7162

@Komatös, I am most grateful. I have downloaded the files and will tackle understanding them tomorrow. With many grateful thanks John -
I downloaded a label template kindly supplied by @Komatös Is there a tutorial on how to use the data merge with this sort of label template. I am slowly migrating from PagePlusX9 where I had a mailing list set up as a *sdb/*.txt file that used the L7160 label's. and also a letter template where I could write a Christmas update to family and friends. Thank you John

@Alfred Any suggestions for one of these from Amazon?
-
This was the only forum where I thought I might put this query. My wife and I are going to buy an Epson printer for sublimation using Affinity Designer/photo as our source material. The one we are going to buy has ICC profiles that will be emailed to us. How does one get these profiles into designer/photo

Wow I am overwhelmed by all these suggestions, it's a good job that its not going to be approved until next week by the directors. Thanks to all. So far!. Latest version.

This flier that will go on our club notice board, emailed to all members and surrounding indoor and outdoor bowls clubs along with being put on social media platforms later in the year. The event will be for whomsoever (with the usual signing in protocol) wants to participate in raising these charity funds
-
A timely reminder. When taking any pictures within the club people are always asked if they mind (and informed they may be used within publicity about the club). Especially if there are children present
-
@Komatös that's very kind of you to submit an alternative I am grateful and it gives me food for thought. What I should of shown in my flier is that this is an indoor bowls event. Sadly I have not found any suitable images on the internet to use so I have had to rely on ones I took myself.
-
Thank you for the CC, it's always welcome. Only 2 bowls clubs in the whole of Germany, that really comes as a great surprise to me.
-
Publicity flier for next year. Going before the organising committee next week for approval. CC as always welcome. @GaryP work amongst others were the source of ideas. i.B.C. needs to read I.B.C.

My wife and I gave it a whirl for just over an hour and sadly gave up on it. Sad but there you go "you cant please everybody"
