  1. Hi, Currently, there is multiple frictions in the App while trying to change colors to shape or text. - Right now the UI never remember what you did before. Everytime I click shape by shape, it's like the UI is showing a random tab instead of the last used one. - Not sure why you can't pick the text color directly with the text tool. You always have to go to selection mode to see the color option. - Not sure why the color picker doesn't change the current color after picking one. You have to click on the picked color to apply it. - Swatches are very tedious to use, esp with effect. Like the color overlay FX. The color drop down is very basic and doesn't let you pick any swatches. So everytime, I am showing the swatches in the App UI in the background and use the color drop on it to apply it to the effect. I think it will be a huge benefit if the swatches where available from any color pickup like the native OSX one. Thanks :)
  2. I will raise this concern again as I am not sure it get attention or not. I will add that a missing feature to make guides more usable would be a snapping to middle of other guides. I usually draw areas on the screen with guides, and I usually need to cut them in two, so put a third guides in the middle of two. Right now I have to tweak it manually to snap it in the middle. Could be great if it was done automatically when you get close to the center / middle like in PS.
  3. Yes, that's what I did. But I actually had to create a group over it as it wasn't cropping the blur :)
  4. Hi, Selection from path is a huge feature in PS that is very usefull esp when you need to do masking. Right now, there is no possible way (unless I missed it) to take a shape, select it's past and then use it to create a mask. Please consider adding.
  5. Even better, could be great to have a warning on the fly if the retina version is not twice the size of the regular version. So you know you have to tweak the vector version ! Would be a life saver for UI stuff.
  6. Actually it would really be benefical even for retina as you can have shapes with 12.7px or weirdo stuff like that as it's all vectorial. So make sense to have the "final" or "export" size available on the fly when switching between pixel mode :)
  7. Hey, I know you missed me ;) Ok so, tweaking with my design between pixel previews (which is really neat BTW), I am usually switching between Pixel Drawing vs Retina Drawing mode. What would be very very good is to get the final size in pixel of the shape. Right now, I have a retina shape which in retina is 8x12.5px as shown in "transform" tab. So I know it will be 16x25px in retina export, BUT in Pixel mode, every half pixel will be rendered with a full pixel half opacity or according to the algorithm used. In this case, it could be great to have the full size of the pixel version. Like 8x12.5px will probably be 8x13px in the final export. Could be very usefull to have this information while we switch between pixel mode on the fly. Retina size: XxY px Pixel size: UxV px I know that a best practice is to have only even size (and that's why I am retouching it ;) ) but that would be usefull anyway. :)
  8. Same as you guys. Point 2 is making me losing a lot of time.
  9. To add more to this request, you need to work at retina resolution if you want to add more details for high res screen. While those details will be lost when you reduce the size but it's ok as they wouldn't appear anyway. But the contrary is not possible. Working in 1x and adding details for 2x require do redo all the models. So no time saving.
  10. Hi, Not sure I have seen this feature request anywhere but as a designer, I heavily use this feature. I know you can create styles but it's not the same feature and not as fast as copy/paste. You don't want to save all the FX you create. :) Thanks !
  11. Hello, I am often confused when I try to use alternative actions. Right now, at the bottom of the window, you have a description of what you can do with all keystroke like click + shift will do this or click + alt + shift will do that. To make things clearer, there could be a visual feedback (highlighting, surrounding, etc...) of the result you will get while pressing a button. Like as soon as I press Shift in the following screenshot, it will be benefical to see "Add to selection" highlighted so I know the result I will have on a click instead of going throw the list and trying to understand which one is active currently. I saw that sometime the action change based on the key you press but not all the time and not for all actions (like dragging). Also sometime the cursor change, but highlighting the description in the bar would still help understanding the action :) It's pretty obvious in this screenshot as there is only two possibilites, but it becomes more difficult with tools like the pen with all this draging + option.
  12. ok cool. That's why we need this roadmap / summary thread somewhere of working list / requested :)
  13. Hi, I think that something really valuable for designer would be to have a contextual distance guides on demand. On Apps like PS or even Xcode, when you use the Alt button and hovering objects, it's giving you the distance between the closest edges around. It's very helpful to do pixel perfect stuff.
  14. Hey, Would it be possible to have somewhere a list of stuff you are working on and/or in your list. That would prevent us to report multiple time the same bug or request the same feature :)
  15. Hi, right now when you want to export slice with the export persona, you can check the 2x checkmark to export twice size for retina resolution. However, designers can works directly at 2x and request to generate the 1x instead. This is esp the case when you mix pixel and vector layers. Right now, it's not possible to work at 2x resolution and generate 1x (or half size) resolution asset. Please consider addind it.
  16. Rah, I was just about to request the same :( More and more design involve animations. Could be a great feature to add.
  17. I am with all of you guys. I spent ours on a logo tweaking stuff because there is no good support for Angles and layout grid. I had to create line and then tweak them manually. So it's not very accurate without those functionalities right now :)
  18. I agree. May be it's somewhere but I fail to see where I can change the background color.
  19. You guys rock, I just realized that this feature has been added only a month ago to Illustrator. https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/how-to/change-rectangle-after-drawing.html?trackingid=KOTTM&si=h-b2c54147aa7ebc2456ba84b9a88a9fe7-2d-69425
  20. Hi, A good feature for UI designer to add could be the rounded corner like in PS CC. Right now you can setup the radius but it applies to all angles of the rectangle. In PS CC, every corner is independant and can be tweaked. Very helpful to makes headers and footers. A builtin feature could avoid to convert to path and do it manually. Thanks
  21. Well, it's actually the case as I went crazy trying to align points to create a line. But could also be seen as a "snap" feature.
  22. Hi, If I may, I think that the grouping of layer is too limited for now. The only way to create them seems to be to drag and drop but it's very limited in features. How to group to groups at the same level ? Not sure you can now. Could be great to group like in photoshop. Also, I thought that the new Layer icon was the new group icon (looks like a folder), and the new Pixel Layer icon to be new Layer icon. It's a litlle confusing. Cheers
