  1. Ich verstehe das Problem nicht oder ich mache es mir zu einfach: Und weils so schön war noch mal in hochdeutsch: Grüße aus HH
  2. You´re saying Quicklook generates a preview that shows the clipped image in Finder?
  3. I´ve tried just that already but got mislead as macOS don´t seem to handle a preview via QuickView. So I thought it wasn´t successfully exported - but after reimport path is there. Preview.app can´t handle this kind of jpg under HighSierra though. Can any other app display this kind of file?
  4. I know xml. But this must be some Adobe home-brew. I don´t know any other app that can store vector/Bézier-path into jpg - Even GIMP will not.
  5. Are you sure not to save into Photoshop´s own PSD format? Can you provide a simple sample file please? Thanks.
  6. Since when JPG is a layered file format that can save path/vector data?
  7. I got an older original Apple external SuperDrive which works just fine. I tend more to XP-Pen tablets right now. But with all that trouble I must say: Time is running!
  9. Yeah - and that´s why I told already to go third-party with an external. I have already made my experiences - as I said.... And I was at iFixIt already; SuperDrive internal =40 bucks but you have to take off the display completely - and I´m not going that route to put the same shit in.
  10. File closed. Thanks but I´ve been all through this already. Funny thing: the latest with 2 cables work on a MBPro from 2006 without issue - but not on my iMac2011. I start to think there is a ghost in the machine. Did I mentioned Huion wants me to buy an original Apple Thunderbolt-to-HDMI adapter to use it with their pen-displays? Good boy; there´s no available.
  11. OMG - I tried my best with 3 different brands and no luck - just to keep my large DVD film library alive. It got solved at the moment the original SuperDrive was plugged in. I´m not a friend of these slot-in drives as already 4 of 5 internal died which was the reason to go third-party.
  12. Then you´re a lucky guy. I tested 3 before a friend gave me his original Apple external Superdrive from ca 2012 which "simply" works. The crux is the minimal power supply of the the USB ports. I ordered one at least with 2 cables 1 for power 1 for data - didn´t work. Then I tried to use Apple USB power adapter of my iPad. Shall work - but no DVD mounting. Then I got a more powerful USB power adapter: Some DVD mounted some not - DVDplayer.app throws warnings at me regarding damaged DVD after 10 min - a brand-new DVD fresh from the box. Never happened with my Macs prior Intel-generation.
  13. Ah I see - it´s not overlapping. I´d break the curve then - and keep in mind that start+end of the texture isn´t seamless in most cases and will be noticeable anyway - like a simple stroke.
  14. Yeah - looking good so far if you don´t mind using raster images rather than vector graphics of course. Cheers
  15. Thanks for the reminder. At least it´s just the age of my iMac. The newer ones have HDMI or Thunderbolt 3 (USB‑C) which might work - with adaptors of course. The secluded world of Apple is driving me nuts. The DVD drive died and don´t think any cheap third party external DVD-drive can work as a replacement; Don't count your chickens before they are hatched. If the translation makes any sense to you.
  16. Huion answered right know telling me there won´t be any problem except I should rather take an Apple original adaptor. Go find one. Haha.
  17. Wieder keine Datei? Und das Bild ist nicht zusehen. Ich verstehe nicht warum Du nicht einfach einen Kreis mit Strich/Stroke nimmst. Wofür ist der Ebenen-Effekt gedacht?
  18. What do you mean by closing gaps? You can Merge paths to one object instead of Boolean add or group them.
  19. Their support answered: The say a Thunderbolt-to-HDMI-adaptor is included and send this picture saying something different: Looks more like a Mini DisplayPort-to-HDMI adaptor. I´m discouraged. Seems I´m sticked to my Wacom drawing tablet. Cheers
  20. It works like in Freehand: copy your object to clipboard. Draw a line. Take Art text tool. Place over line+click for cursor and paste. Cheers
  21. I´m not sure about your curve and texture but there´s a property in the Stroke panel called Scale with Object. Is it checked? Cheers
  22. Warum lädst Du die unselige Datei (gerne auch ohne Foto) nicht hier hoch? Dann könnten wir auch ein bisschen Spaß damit haben. Why not simply uploading the file (excluding the photo maybe)? So we´re going to have some fun with it. Cheers
