  1. Just one last from me on this topic as I literally live in Inkscape and Intaglio; Inkscape1.0 will get an additional centerline tracer.
  2. I believe you could have asked in the 3d forum of your choice. Cheers the plunger
  3. Inkscape1.0 beta is a native app - no XQuartz necessary. I´m used to use a native macOS version since 2015. As much hope I had for Affinity Designer I can´t live without Inkscape.
  4. At least one can hold shift-key only to maintain handle direction on node-by-node handle dragging:
  5. I doubt this guy had red/cyan-glasses at hand. Making this conversion from just 1 photo is literally needless "in my eyes". I made this one in 2009 (before Real3d and other take over with its polarized 3D systems) from two separate rendering simulating pupillary distance: This will work with red (left eye)/cyan (right eye) glasses and was made in GIMP with the red/cyan/Dubois method (there´s a technically paper flying in the www) and you can move your head to get a perspective experience. Cheers
  6. I have no clue what you´re saying as it don´t make any difference - to be fair: Anything else? And to make this case even more redundant: Inkscape has a parametric spiral tool. PS: not sure what´s about your iMac: a native Inkscape is rock stable here for years - even when I crash it due a new beta round I never loose more than 1 min work thank to it´s Autosave function.
  7. Regarding Inkscape it´s actually just "Join Selected Nodes" - combining as an extra step isn´t necessary.
  8. Who told you to drag into fontbook? I doubt that this is the case - otherwise he´d know what to do with a font - don´t you think?
  9. Seems you never installed any fonts on a Mac; just doubleclick on the font you downloaded and follow the macOS instructions. The font should appear atomatically.
  10. A stroke can contain of multiple stroke layers via the "Appearance" feature. But it´s not easy to connect paths without noticeable gaps and alignments need to be perpendicular:
  11. Not sure where you got the "O" shape from. But if it's from a donut go layers->geometrie->separate shape or so - delete one shape and try again.
  12. Well - then select the nodes which built the hole in the "9" and delete and try to punch out again with your shape. If it's still not "drilling" check the "fill mode". To select continous path: select 1node and hit cmd+A.
  13. From the look of it It seems there is already a hole in the "9". So I'm not sure why you need any Boolean operation at all.
  14. I don´t get why it´s not working in first place, except the font might be don´t follow the winding rule which can be fixed via Layer->Fill Mode:
  15. I believe he´s asking for kind of outline brush or path to draw parallel lines automatically:
  16. There´s a "Soften" parameter in the Bevel/Emboss and 3D section of the layer fx. Have you tried that?
  17. Your critique is more telling about you of course and Intaglio is just one example. I don´t care how shiny or rusty the hammer is, but I simply need to "nail the job". Got that? And while you are constantly telling the code base don´t matches users feature wishes it is a waste of time for me here - simple as. Working for a developer since 2005 I would say their „job“ is to solve/overcome these hurdles and not to search for excuses. And I´m sure you´ll say the same things about Inkscape which runs on Windows/macOS/Linux as you know.
