Affinity Designer - How do you remove background on photo?

nickmullen posted a topic in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)

I am VERY new to using Affinity Designer and still trying to teach myself everything. I have a logo for work that I would like to incorporate into an advertisement I'm making and can't figure out how to take the white background out. Thanks!
