  1. Viveza doesn't work for me: Colours when transferred to Viveza are always washed out:
  2. Is there no 'pressure studio' setup in Affinity? There doesn't seem to be any pressure sensitivity at all for opacity, although I have a limited range of sensitivity to size when set to default. I do have to press unacceptably hard to achieve any meaningful change though. I am using an Intuos 440
  3. This looks like it might be linked to my recent post re highlight artefacts when using Topaz plugins.
  4. Doing some further testing with Topaz plugins I have come across a repeatable and widespread issue with colour artefacts appearing in extreme highlight areas after an image has been processed with most of the Topaz suite of plugins. So far I have found the issue in Adjust, Clarity, Black and White, and Detail. I have the latest releases of all of these plugins. I am attaching 3 files, the first showing the source image, the second the preview from Adjust, a the third the resulting image in Affinity. These are all crops from a larger image. Source PEF upload was prohibited.
  5. Thanks, I knew I'd seen that somewhere - I just wasn't far enough up the tree!
  6. An improvement suggestion: The ability to select by tonal range is very very useful, BUT it would be mega useful if it were possible to add additional controls in a daughter dialogue box to refine the selection of the tonal range - dark point, light point and feather. The I wouldn't need luminosity masks. :) I hope this is the right place for suggestions.
  7. I've probably missed something somewhere, but I don't seem to be able to add an adjustment layer without it affecting all the layers below. I'm experimenting with trying to emulate a process to run luminosity masks, which doesn't seem to be possible using the channels panel (as in Photoshop). As there is a process for making selections of shadows, midtones, and highlights and if I can make clipped to layer below adjustments it should be possible to create a set of layers with different tonal ranges selected.
  8. One of the things I do from time to time on complex edits in Photoshop is luminosity masking, using the channels tab to make a range of luminosity masks to which I can apply various edits. I have been looking at the system for pixel selection from the channels tab in Affinity, but I'm not sure I have got a proper grasp on how, or even if, it is possible to create a range of luminosity masks. Is this something that is not possible either in Affinity or through the use of the channels panel?
  9. Thanks - this configuration makes using a Wacom nigh on impossible.
  10. Allow Affinity to use unknown plugins and most of them will work - some report sharpener works, but it doesn't for me, and Viveza definitely will not work.
  11. Sharpener Pro looks like it works ie the window opens, but for me that is as far as it goes.
  12. Malheuresement ni Viveza, ni sharpener marche. Et rien en 16 bit.
  13. This doesn't work for me at all. OK, I get a grey gradient, but I can't work out how to access any other colours. The help file says : " When you edit a gradient fill from within the workspace, the Gradient Editor appears, either as a pop-up panel or as the Gradient Editor dialog" Only there is no dialogue box or pop up panel.
  14. No plugins work in 16 bit mode, including Topaz. Some of the Nik plugins don't work in 8 bit either - the same ones, I think, that didn't work with the last iteration of Photoplus. Also the Abstract Curves plugin, and all of the On1 calls,
  15. I think this might be an irritant for users of Photoplus who are looking to upgrade. Backwards compatibility is always important.
