  1. OK, so I tried with a Photo type document, I see the guide position while dragging the guide only. If I right-click while still dragging the guide, then the popup stays in view. I think, if you wanted to clone a guide, you would not do it while still moving it. Nevertheless, I suppose this is a bug. If you left-click on the guide to move it, the popup will start updating it's position again.
  2. All I am seeing here is the usual context menu, which, as expected, I have to click again to close. Ctrl + Drag is the usual shortcut in Serif Apps to clone objects, but it does not work with guidelines (that might be useful).
  3. There's no text on the clipboard when pasting from Inkscape. PagePlus X9 tells me that it is Metafile data.

  5. I reported an issue with switching documents lagging a lot if the Swatches Studio is open, so its a known issue.
  6. If I copy some contours from FontCreator, and try to paste them into Affinity Designer, all I get is a text frame containing the words "Font Data." If I copy it first into Inkscape, then copy it from there and paste it into Affinity Designer it works. FontCreator places outline data it in the Windows clipboard as format types: Adobe AI3 Encapsulated PostScript image/svg+xml Inkscape places data in these format types: image/svg+xml image/svg+xml-compressed image/x-inkscape-svg image/x-inkscape-svg-compressedWhy is affinity not pasting the image/svg+xml data directly from FontCreator? Does it support only image/x-inkscape-svg SVG XML Clipboard Data.afdesign

  9. Well, that's the whole point of Beta testing — to be picky and find out what's broken. I can reproduce the issue. However, if I first use Save As.. and save the JPG as an Affinity Design drawing, I can then safely export to any image format without any unexpected issues.

  13. The usual issues with missing access keys. If there's not enough letters to go round, the menu is too long and needs to be split.

  15. Suppose you are one of those who like to use scroll wheel for zoom. To scroll up and down you therefore need to hold down the Ctrl key and keep it held down. To pan, you need to keep the Ctrl key held down, but also the shift key. Having to release the Ctrl key would be more confusing, not easier.
  16. Confirmed here. I think it used to work, as I assigned these shortcuts before.
  17. As with previous versions, the installer is taking about 1 minute to calculate the available disk space before it proceeds with installation. Although this is a trivial issue, I hope something can be done about it before Beta gets to the final stage.

  19. If you type the full URL as you have done, the users' PDF Viewer can convert it to an active link if they set the viewer preferences to do that.
  20. What I meant by "I would not call that drawing complex" is that I have seen plenty that are more complex. That is, I would not expect Affinity Designer to struggle too much with this, but some very complex drawings are always going to be hard to handle. Try opening the attached file, for example. This file is a severe test of Affinity Designer's ability to render complex files. The screen shots show how the flowers render as you zoom in and out. The process takes 10-15 seconds on my hardware. I would not like to do any editing on this file using Affinity Designer as it is at the moment. Vector - Colorful Flowers by DragonArt.zip
  21. Please don't shout at us. We can read, and we already know about this. It makes no significant difference to the interface, although it does help a bit with the application workspace background.
  22. Although the extension is not shown there because you have disabled extensions in Windows, I am sure that it will still export as the correct file type. Try it and see. "They will fix it" means that the developers will fix it, so it will work soon, even with file extensions disabled in Windows. This is how the file export dialogue looks with extensions enabled in Windows Explorer.
  23. Agreed. The dark GUI is bad enough, but the lack of contrast makes it worse .
