Hi, I keep encountering this in 1.7 in all three apps, Designer, Photo and Publisher. Add Artistic text Switch to the pointer tool with the text selected Click on the font size drop down to alter the size Observe: Font changes to the new size while drop down is selected Click on the page Observe: Font reverts to original size I can add text without a problem, but if I want to change the font size by selecting the text with the pointer and using the context toolbar drop down the size changes while I have the size selected with the mouse but as soon as I have clicked off the drop down the size reverts and the font remains the same.

I've had no problems with VistaPrint using the current beta, but I don't export as PDF, only as jpg or png using the exact pixel dimensions for full bleed.

Hi Mike, yes I did mean MS Publisher. I'm not too familiar with MSP (and don't have it on my system) finding it quicker to do in APh. AD is my normal go-to app but APh has the perspective tool that I needed for the main image so stayed there. It took less than 20 minutes to complete, but there seemed to be a lot of erroneous boxes and stuff that I presumed the originator put there as they produced the original?

Thanks for looking Mike. No wonder they had problems when they tried to edit the original and asked me to step in!

Hi, I'm not sure whether this is just me or whether it is something wrong in the Export>PDF>Print profile 1) I received a PDF from someone else - Messiah 3.pdf - they probably used Photoshop for their original file. 2) I modified it by straightening the image and aligning the logos in APh - Messiah 3b.pdf using PDF (for export) 3) Then was asked to add the web address at the bottom Messiah 3c.pdf. On first export of this file I decided to try PDF (for print) but when I opened it the image was filled with black so reverted to PDF (for export) which fixed the issue. Q. Is this a) just an anomaly with this file? or b) is there something wrong with PDF (for print) Please see the attached files Messiah 3.pdf Messiah 3b.pdf Messiah 3c.pdf

Downloaded first time - okay Tried to install first time - a) unsigned exe file b) setup failed Had to reinstall .157 Downloaded a second time - okay Tried to install second time - as above Rebooted PC (It's turned off every night so has only been on during today) Tried to install third time - setup failed again Reinstalled .157 I do notice that the website shows 285.31 mb whereas the download I have shows 279 MB (292,629,264 bytes) MD5 hash: f051cce5d32f15ea4c6342d78159d5d7 affinity-publisher-beta-1.7.0.162.exe

No problem - it was a good idea.

No, just tried this, the 'master page' items are removed from the master page when moved up and they also disappear from subsequent pages. They need to be copy and pasted from the master page in the layers panel then the master page items made invisible in the layers panel. Either way, it's more work than the simple (and less time consuming) 'promote from master page' option that PP uses.

One thing I've found useful in PP is the 'Promote from Master Page'. I realise I can add guides to the master page in APub, but would like the option to include items on the master page that could be promoted and reused on the page eg a regular text box for a booklet.

Hi, I've looked at the videos and am now 'playing' with the app. Some great features, it was worth the wait! One thing I'm missing is the ability to save as a template file. I regularly want to open a new blank document with all the settings ready so that I can just populate it with extra pages and content. I suppose I could create a single, master apub document then, when I begin, save it under a new name (as long as I remember!), but it would be great if we could create a template file to share with co-workers - then we would all be working to the same 'house-style'.

It was the same in PP - I regularly get PDF files to create as new web pages, at least one issue per year has long tables and I always have to copy each text frame as they are not imported as tables. Perhaps it's more to do with the way tables are formatted when the PDF is created?

Yes, it's also a problem in AD's Pixel Persona. The brush engine really does need more work to make it usable - too many straightened lines in its output. This is where Adobe shines by comparison .

I'm not a fan of moving the paste, much prefer the AD way where paste remains in place. It makes working with pasted objects so much easier - it's simple when you know this is the app behaviour, a simple check in the Layers' Panel will show what has happened.

Yes, I've found this when using the default settings of "parallel processing" being on. If I turn it off there's no problem. I thought it was just my PC being slightly underpowered, but obviously not!
