I tend not to use bitmap fills so no use to me. A preference would be far more suitable.

Hi, I'm unable to create true elliptical fills - the fill tool is being constrained to circular as both outer nodes move together instead of independently.

I've created several drawings in AD and added a black & white adjustment layer to each file. They place perfectly in AD (both release and beta version) - see screenshot 1. Problem 1: When I export as PDF they ignore the B&W adjustment and show in colour - see screenshot 2. Problem 2: If I add a B&W adjustment layer to the Publisher file they export as B&W but the clipping masks in the Designer files are ignored - see screenshot 3 Both problems are present in the retail and beta versions.

As far as I'm aware, the beta version does not automatically update, we have to download the latest version when it is released. Yes, my daughter's boyfriend had never seen an image of Steve McQueen - not seen Bullitt, The Great Escape, Towering Inferno, The Getaway etc. etc. We'll have to educate them!

A Chinese Crested called Wizz, drawn in Affinity Designer as a tribute for a friend (Wizz passed in December last year). All vector apart from the pixel cloud brushes which came from the xresch clouds and smoke collection on the Affinity Store.

Hi Sean ans somewhereinusa, Thanks, but the screenshot above shows the hyperlink studio's Anchors after having inserted two anchors named Anchor1 and Anchor2 I've tried a Ctrl runup and reverted everything back to factory defaults but the same problem persists - I place the carat where I want to insert an anchor then go to Text > Interactive > Insert Anchor; name this anchor then select the text I want to hyperlink to the anchor, right click or go to Text menu Interactive > Insert Hyperlink and select Anchor from the hyperlink type dropdown but the Anchor list is blank. I've attached the file I'm working on that shows this happening. It has two anchors set up but the hyperlink studio doesn't list either of them. hsb233 vol16 no12.afpub

Hi, Maybe I'm misunderstanding the whole anchors and hyperlinks thing, but I can't seem to make this work. What I want to happen is have a list of items on page 1 to link to various sections on the following pages (I know there is the TOC, but I'm trying to exactly replicate an academic publication for an online PDF) I create some text on pages 2 through to 4, heading these pages with 'This is my anchor1 text' on page 2 and on page 4 'This is my anchor2 text' I create some text on page 1 eg 'This is my hyperlink text to anchor1' and 'This is my hyperlink test to anchor2' Two things happen When I select the text that I want to become the anchor on pages 2 and 4 it disappears when I add the anchor - I expected the text would become the anchor called the text I had selected, so I just placed the carat at the end of the text and named it Anchor1 and the same for Anchor2. When I select the text on page 1 to become the hyperlinks and chose Anchor there is nothing listed - I expected to see Anchor1 and Anchor2 to choose from whereas if I choose Page I can see all the page numbers in my document in the drop down list. Should the selected text in 1 remain? Is this blank Anchor listing in 2 a bug? Thanks, Ken

Hi, I've just noticed something with text on a curve that I hadn't notice before. I have some text going around two circles for top and bottom text - I created the original file early on in the first Windows beta a couple of years ago. The text in 1.7 doesn't follow the curve, most noticeable with the H, M and N in the top text whereas with the the original beta the text flows virtually perfectly. The top image is the early AD and the bottom is in 1.7. I've also attached the 1.7 file which is a straight copy and paste of the text objects with an extra circle. misaligned text on a curve.afdesign

Hi Will, I have clicked on the size In the video attached to the Designer post it shows I click on the 144pt size of the drop down list but as soon as I have clicked the font 'springs back' to 133pt It appears to be happening when opening a 1.6 file in 1.7 and isn't happening with files that are only created and working in 1.6 or only created and working in 1.7.

Hi Sean, Yes, my mouse isn't that jerky I've tried it on a new document and it works fine, so presumably it's because this was a 1.6 file to begin with. The file from the video has been uploaded to dropbox
