Yes VectorStyler does have a clunky user experience, but I've had nearly seven years of workarounds with Designer, just to do taken for granted stuff that was standard 25 years ago in Freehand - I've already used Vectorstyler on a few Vector jobs then got them into publisher for output - I'd love to be able to work solely in Affinity but we may never get these missing basics and VectorStyler has a near complete toolset, I don't want to use it, but I don't want to wait another seven years before Serif lets us know where it's heading

I love making vector animations but if you're on a mobile device currently there's no app out there that allows you to make tween based animations. Desktop users have Blender, Synfig Studio, Keyshape, After Effects. If you're on a Chromebook you have Animatron Studio and even TweenUI but mobile users have been left in the dark far too long. That's why I decided to build svgMotion!

This isn’t a question just something I wanted to share with the community because far too few people know about it and I developed svgMotion a year ago.
Here’s just a few gif animations I made from my vector art and svgMotion.
And there’s this bounce reveal one I made inspired by James Curran.
You can find more demos like the bounce reveal simply by opening up svgMotion and playing with the hubs at https://michaelsboost.com/svgMotion/app/#bouncereveal Now if you’re just looking for Frame by Frame vector animation. Then you should checkout SVGAnimFrames

You don’t need to be a coder to use it either. I built a converter so you can easily import your animation and it’ll convert it to a gif animation for you. How’d you think I made the animation above? Time is money my friends.

Unless I'm missing something, the Font Manager in Publisher is seriously lacking. I don't understand why there is a way to specify a substitution for a missing font, but no way to actually apply the substitution. And if the font isn't missing, you can't even pick a substitution. The only way around it appears to have set up Styles from the start and then change the styles one by one. But Publisher needs to have a feature like Adobe's "Find Font" in InDesign and Illustrator and Quark...

buschbrand reacted to voronwe in Request: Keep "Black" (K100) in Text when converting to another profile
    Hi
I made a document in CMKY and set the Text to pure Black (0/0/0/100) as ist is the normal behaviour in printing.
When I convert the document to another profile, the Color looks like (73/67/63/84), which would leads to problems in printing the text, as it will probably lead to unsharpen text.
I'm missing the setting that pure K should stay pure K in a conversion (especially for text), especially in the Export-settings for PDF, where you can select a different Profile.

And, as an extra wish: When converting from RGB to CMYK, I would like to have the possibilty to change Text to  CMYK 0/0/0/100

    Thanks

Is it possible to print colour separations from Affinity Publisher, or indeed any Affinity app? Or is this a function of the printer driver? If the apps are to be used in a professional printer's production environment, this will be needed.

    Hi there,
just want to share my first try in drawing cars. It's not already perfect, some shadows and surfaces are not there, and most of the lights are missing. It's work in progress. Windows and everything about it had to be done. But for today it's okay. Maybe I'll do some more of my dream cars, when this is done. Should I?
    Happy Easter all togehther!

With these simple hatching styles you can hatch your vector objects in Affinity Designer or Affinity Photo. Affinity Publisher Beta seems not working yet (previews looks strange on my machine).

    DOWNLOAD: https://mensch-mesch.com/download/affinity-designer-schraffuren-hatchings/
With the red styles you can easily change the color of the hatching while using an adjusment layer recolor.
    Keep on drawin'

Text in text frames completely change in size, color and style when multiple text frames are grouped.  How to prevent this?
Also, adding  text frames also changes size.  I've clicked the link triangle and eye in various combinations but does not solve the problem.
