At first I had a problem with the Dutch SpellCheck and Hyphenation in Publisher Beta but solved it.
C:\ProgramData\Affinity\Common\1.0\Dictionaries\nl_NL with the three files nl_NL dic works well for Affinity Designer (no hyphenation) but not (yet?) for Publisher.
Spell Check (Dutch) did not work in Publisher; no Dutch language mentioned in the spell checker (it showed German; English UK and English US; Spanish Int.; French; Italian; Portuguese Braz.). Hyphenation: the same languages plus Latin (!) but no Dutch.
I found that pasting the map «nl-NL» with:
hyph_nl_NL.dic
nl_NL.aff
nl_NL.dic 
straight into «C:\Program Files\Affinity\Publisher Public Beta\Resources\Dictionaries» next to the languages above mentioned works very well; no problems with spell check and hyphenation any more.
Congratulations with a great program ! I worked in the late seventies with Quadritek and Compugraphic; switched to Windows: Aldus PageMaker, Adobe Pagemaker; Quark XPress; Indesign (CS2); Serif PagePlus up to X9 and I am now very happy with Affinity Publisher.

The preferred way of course would be to install the dictionaries in a separate folder outside of X:\Program Files\... Use the preference pane Tools to add this additional dictionary folder. Restart Affinity Publisher as advised.

In Win install them under ...C:\Program Files\Affinity\Publisher Public Beta\Resources\Dictionaries

I have a page with several hyperlinks, but when I view the hyperlinks panel it does not show any. When I export the document the hyperlinks do work so I must have put them in the correct way. When I select the text and right-click to >interactive >Insert Hyperlink I see a dialog box with the URL.
 

When you place a PDF with multiple pages, have a look at the context bar. There is a pulldown (plus some other options) where you can select the desired page.
This works only if you place the PDF directly and not when you place the PDF inside a picture frame.

Welcome to Affinity Forums
You have to click on the triangle on the bottom right side of the text frame  (a link cursor should appear as soon as you mouse over it) then click over the other empty text frame you want to link to. Note that the Master Pages should only be used to place items that will be replicated on all pages they are applied to. Text and images (and other elements) specific to each page should be created on the pages themselves. There's more improvements planned that will let you define/set text frames on master pages later to use as placeholders for the pages themselves. For more information about the current workflow/supported functionality check the tutorials on this page.

I just messing with AP and notice that when placing a multiple page document (AD, PDF) there is no option to choose which page you want place  in the picture frame.

Thanks, that really helped knowing that was the way to detect an overflow, helped me find the place that had the overflow. But it certainly was painful having to check every text frame.

At the moment the only way to detect if a frame is overflowing is it it has a small eye symbol next to the flow handle when the frame is selected. A locate options is a good idea though

When exporting to PDF I get a dialog that pops up telling me that there are text frames that have overflowing text. I cannot locate these text frames so I'm wondering is there some way of viewing all text frames that have overflowing text?
Would be nice if the dialog that alerts you to the problem offered to show you which frames were overflowing.
I have to say I'm very impressed so far with Publisher it is awesome. I was able to take one of my brochure designs that I had done in InDesign and recreated it in Publisher and it was pretty painless and being a long time Designer and Photo user I felt totally at home. Great job!

Thanks for the suggestion.
I tried opening my print-ready PDF I had generated from the InDesign file.
Worked perfectly! Images, Fonts and Formatting all perfectly intact.
Problem solved!

Currently Affinity Publisher doesn't import InDesign files (both .indd and .idml). We do intend to add support for .idml in a future update/version.

You could open/import PDF-Files (of InDesign-files) pretty well.

The most pressing question in my mind as I get ready to adopt Publisher is, can I import/open InDesign files into Publisher. 
On first attempts, I’m not seeing a way. 
And IDML files don’t work either. 
Thoughts?

In other software, but not in the Affinity programs yet.  There have been rumblings in other related threads that it is being actively worked on though so we might see it soon.

Adding my +2000 votes for this. This is a MUST HAVE feature. This would be such a time suck to still create books/pdfs in Affinity Publisher and still end up having to use an external tool to link urls in text (whether explicit links or ones hidden behind custom text).
Please certainly consider adding this to the immediate release, and I truly believe this feature alone would be a winner for many. 

+1 on hyperlinks. Need them almost every week for documents distributed as pdf's.

Thank you for this Publisher beta version. My first impressions are very positives.
I have 1 question for the moment. I export my document to PDF for print and need to have some clickable texts. How can I add an hyperlink (URL) to my text (or image) in Publisher?
This option is very important for me.
If not possible for the moment, will this option be added in the final version and when ?
