Problem with Nik Collection 4
j3rry replied to j3rry's topic in [ARCHIVE] Photo beta on macOS threads
Hi Chris, yes my Sig is correct and show the actual state. I use the Affinity Photo version from the affinity store. What makes me wondering is that with the retail version is all fine, only with beta the problem occurs… -
I have updated to the Nik Collection 4 and its working fine with the retail version of affinity photo. See first Screenshot. But with the beta(1.10.0.247) there is serious problem, especially with Silver Efex and Viveza. The Footline is not displayed and so the filters not usable. Second Screenshot.

Nik Collection 4
j3rry replied to csp's topic in Pre-V2 Archive of Affinity on Desktop Questions (macOS and Windows)
If its working with the version 1.9.3 and not with the beta 1.9.4.243 I would search in the beta because its the only part that has changed...- 18 replies

Thank you, with the help of the manual I found the solution. Transform a selection without its pixels: 1. Do one of the following: - Press the Q key. - Click the QuickMask On/Off option in the toolbar. - On the Select menu, click Edit Selection as Layer. 2. Activate the Move tool. 2. Scale, move, rotate, or tilt the selection using the handles that appear on the page. If you want to make the changes very precisely, use the settings of the Transform panel. 4. Repeat step 1 to exit the QuickMask mode and display the selection as a scrolling frame. Quite cumbersome but it works. In PS, the tool automatically switches to Transform Selection ....

Taken last Sunday while walking, cropped using Pixelmator Pro against a black background and finalized using Affinity Photo.

Hi Geoff, I have never heard from this artist until yesterday, really …. 😉 Wolf

I use at first a thin black brush and painted the square on a separate layer. On a second layer I filled the square. Later added a texture layer and blended the layer with soft light.

j3rry replied to Andy Somerfield's topic in [ARCHIVE] Photo beta on macOS threads
Its working only if the language is set to english(GB or US) not set to default or german on my Mac (Big Sur). So its a bug from serif. -

You mean I should set to German and not Default? -

Affinity Photo Customer Beta (1.9.4.242)
j3rry replied to Andy Somerfield's topic in [ARCHIVE] Photo beta on macOS threads
Your tip was helpful, I would never have thought that the language setting can cause such an error, especially since it only affects numeric input or controllers. A task for Serif to control more ... Thank You! -
Affinity Photo Customer Beta (1.9.4.242)
j3rry replied to Andy Somerfield's topic in [ARCHIVE] Photo beta on macOS threads
I can confirm this, neither in the beta nor in the release version are input fields or sliders visible, this functionality can't be used. -
