Maybe a problem with the layer. You have to select a pixel layer with 16/8bit before you can call any plugin.

Sorry my fault, I was outside and not aware that Serif has 2.3.1 released. After install the 2.3.1 all my Nik/DxO Plugins are working here.

The Nik Collection doesnt work with Affinity beta.

This bug exist again in Affinity photo 2.3

For this picture I had to completely replace the sky, which at first seemed unfeasible. Then I remembered a channel selection in this context. So I selected the blue channel (the main colour of the overcast sky), inverted it and cropped it with a mask. Selected a new sky and inserted it under the leaves layer. The rest was then just a matter of adjusting the tonality and colour.

I'm confused about how the two different mechanisms work, I didn't remember it that way. Thanks for the clarification.
