Yes, unfortunately the "Blend Tool" and the even more powerful "Transform" from Illustrator doesn't have en equivalent in Designer.

I think handoff is intended for "small" files or task, like text, notes, email, messages etc. Not big files, like 100MB - 1GB. I could be wrong.

I can't import .xlsx files into Publisher as shown here: https://affinity.serif.com/en-gb/tutorials/publisher/desktop/video/390012721 When I choose Place and select the .xlsx file in Finder nothing happens in Affinity. The cursor isn't loaded, nothing happens and nothing can be placed. As if the file isn't imported. Affinity Publisher: 1.8.1 MacOS: 10.15.3 And if drag the file onto Publisher I get an unsupported file format.

I have an iMac and MacBookPro but running the latest version of Catalina and Affinity Photo 1.8.1. I have a Danish keyboard on both (obviously) and the Language and Region is set Danish as primary and English as secondary. And it works fine, except when I want to save a file on my MBP. In the finder window the keyboard layout seems to change, when I type " - " it gets substituted when " / " and so on. If I highlight Untitled in Untitled.afphoto and type " - " go to folder popups. It only happens in Photo and it only happens on my MBP not on the iMac. If you need more info please let me know.

I don't understand why. It is super useful and Photo doesn't offer any way to achieve this using a filter etc. I generally agree with the direction but this makes no sense to me.

I have been lurking around the text frame options and settings in Publisher for setting similar to InDesign's Baseline Options in the Text Frame Options dialog box. But I haven't been able to locate it. Does Publisher or Affinity have a similar settings? Like with Paragraph > Decorations where you can set Top to be Relative to > Cap Height but for the Text Frame.

I can't really go back and open an older version of Designer and check, so I might be wrong. But as far as I remember, you have always had the option to "create artboard" when selecting A4 or A3 in the setting up a new document window...

Say I create a repeatable pattern 1000x1000px and turn it into a symbol. How do I then fill shape with that symbol? The closet possible solution I've found it exporting the symbol as a .png and using the Fill Tool and select Type: Bitmap and load in the exported .png. But it doesn't keep its original size, but scales to fill the shape. And I can't tile it. If I select Extend: Repeat I would except the bitmap to tile, but it doesn't. What am I missing here? I don't get it. (Artboard1 is just the Symbol duplicated 9 times. What I would expect the Fill Tool to do)

One basic use case that I use InDesign's Info panel for, is knowing the number of lines. This is useful when setting up a typographic grid. Like a basic 2 by 2 grid. If you want it to line up and have an equal number of lines in each row. Like 59 (total lines) -1 (the interline space) / 2 (number of rows)... 59 -1 = 58 58 / 2 = 29

Word count... lines count... characters per line...

Data merge would be awesome!

1: I am on a Mac with a Magic Mouse, that is a lively thing to begin with. But I am having really difficulties with the fact that one can change the input values in Studio Panels? You can scroll the window like another windows, but if you in the process slightly move the mouse pointer onto an input field and realising it. Please see the video for demo, look at the leading. scroll in panel.mov 2: This is small one, it could also be helpful of there was a bigger visual difference between a "floating" studio panel and those that are docked? Depending on the placement, sometimes they can be hard to locate.

Can someone explain to me why this distortion is happing to the curve "H". I converted the character to curves, and performed a boolean operation. But the distortion isn't uniform, but it only happens on the lower part. I know it properly doesn't makes sense, so I have included a video.

Question about creating a new artboard. If I create a new A4 document using the print template and I late decide I want a new artboard, lets say an A4. But the only sizes available in the dropdown menu are devices? Wouldn't it makes sense I would could choose from template group used when creating the document... Print, Print Ready, Photo, Web, Devices...?

Hi, I have purchased some big .psd mock-ups from https://mrmockup.com. But there is a few file that doesn't open I Affinity Photo 1.8. The application bar just say opening 1 file. I have tried restarting, I've tried forced quitting and trying again and I've let it running for 30 min. All without any process or indication that something is or had happen. I am not trying to open these files over a network attached storage device or usb, but from the SDD. And my computer is a 2019 iMac with a bunch of RAM. Is anyone having issues with large .pdf files (500-600MB)?
