  1. I've only been using Affinity Photo for a week so please forgive me if some of my suggestions are already implemented and I've just missed them. I'm using Photo for a purely photographic workflow so all of my suggestions / requests are focused on that use scenario. I'm using Affinity Photo on Mac OS 10.11.3 on a current gen Macbook Pro 15 in. I'm speaking mostly about the Develop, Photo and Export personas. Develop First, camera profiles. From reading the forums I guess it's a work in progress at the moment. I'd like to see dcp support or a tool to create icc profiles. I don't really care which. I use camera profiles quite extensively, so support for this is really important to me. I *love* the ability to not use any tone curve when importing a raw file. Thanks for that. Lens profiles would be nice. I have no idea how much work goes into this though. It's not a huge priority for me but rather a nice extra. Noise reduction sliders seem to be too limited. Hard to describe but, I was working on an image with very moderate levels of noise. Moving the sliders from 0% to 50 or 60% seemed to have almost no effect at all. Putting the color and luminance sliders at 100% left a great deal of noise in the image. I had to enable “extreme” mode and then bump it up another 10%. That last 10% seemed to have more of an effect than the first 90%. So maybe make non-extreme mode go a bit higher? I want to be able to chose the DPI that Photo will use in the Develop process. I understand that total pixels matter more than DPI but I output for print. Setting the DPI at the beginning of the process will save me time at the end of the process. Export The export dialog must let me chose all of the relevant variables in the dialog. The export dialog is probably my biggest pain point in terms of wasted time. My workflow ends with outputting a print quality file and a web quality file. Right now I have to bounce between Photo and Export personas multiple times for each file. It's just crazy that all of the settings you need to control for export are not available in the export dialog! I'd like to see: file type, color space, dpi, pixel dimensions, and meaningful metadata options here. Ideally I'd like to be able to chose multiple output presets for a single file and have Export spit out one copy of the file using each preset. This would save a lot of time. Metadata is a pain point as well. Files for web I prefer to export with only, tags, copyright and contact info in their metadata. I'd like a tool where I can make presets for metadata inclusion. Ideally, metadata presets would also be wrapped into the output presets so I could make the presets once and then forget about them. Photo The order of the adjustments in the right hand panel needs to be user configurable. I’d also like the ability to hide adjustments I never use in order to reduce clutter. Also, the ability to collapse the list to a small area that shows only the adjustments icons would be great. That list is a huge waste of space. Making it smaller would free up space for more important information. There are a ton of places in the UI that require extra mouse clicks and in total all those extra clicks add up to slowing down work quite a lot. The color picker comes to mind here. You need access to it when working with masks yet it's placed such that I can look at the histogram or the color picker. 99% of the time I care about the histogram so whenever I go to paint on a mask I have to move off the image, click the tab to show the color picker, then go back to the image to work. Overall Photo is freaking awesome. Especially for the incredible price. I hope my feedback is useful. Thanks very much for reading. Abe
  2. Hello! My name is Abe. I've been using Affinity Photo for about a week and am happy to report that I've made significant strides in figuring out how to re-work my workflow so it doesn't rely on adobe products :-) Affinity Photo is pretty excellent and I hope to see it improve as time goes on. I'm particularly excited for Affinity Publisher and the DAM that's in development. My website is abeolson.flyingdodostudio.com and you can see some of my professional work at https://www.flickr.com/photos/cartoonstudies
