Would be nice to be able to change guide properties via right clicking on guide and setting the properties. Also, be nice to be able to lock guides. Perhaps have a separate guides layer?

I 'need' it, because Lr isn't what I want and Aperture is slowly being left behind.  CaptureOne doesn't have full raw support.
 
(What I really need, is for Serif to re-create Aperture).

It's time to update this thing... 
The same set, suitable for cartoonists, character designers and comic artists.



Now it is composed of:

4 layout tools
1 standard pencil and 3 layout pencils embedding typical colors like blue, red and green (you don't need to choose it from color picker).
Now with tilt for shading effect!

8 Inkers
G pens, trapezoid shaped and Sumi-e variants!
All these tools are sensitive to pen pressure and tilt.

There are several ways to do this, for example via using layer masks for selected portions or by using the erase tool on those etc., see for example how to make a color selection here transparent.

Maybe a good look at all the forum headings would have helped.  Knock yourself out.  :P

Mea Culpa - now it works in Safari and FF.  Weird.  Maybe there was a network problem.

If you have a retina Mac you will now see 100% view showing a pixel in the document on each pixel on your display. Wireframe view mode now allows the user to select locked items by click or marquee. Basically, if you're in wireframe view and you can see it, you can now click it to select it. This makes wireframe view much more useful for toggling on/off to select specific items in the document. With rulers visible and a high-frequency input device such as a pen tablet (or a mouse in macOS Sierra) the rulers would make the document update very slowly, this has been resolved. also: double klick to reset sliders, is such a nice feature  :D  :P just feels really usable  :)

In photoshop you can put sample points in the image and see in the info panel their rgb (or other) values.
If you then open a Curves layer and you ctrl shift click on the sample points, you get the corresponding points in the rgb channels of the curves layer. Then you can adjust "by the numbers" to remove color cast.

The Affinity team is IMHO doing a good job, clearly visible in every new release.  You're welcome to pay for Photoshop if you think that is better - personally, I found it worthwhile to (a) do everything in Affinity and ( B) participate where I can in the beta program to help (I'm not a professional, but I seem to have some talent breaking things :) ).
 
I worked for decades with Microsoft software, so I know what problems hurried software can bring, and as one of the earlier users of Linux I also know how critical UI design is to usability (hence macOS + Linux in my shop).  Given the quality of what Affinity cooks up in AD and AP (and the new ideas) I'm quite prepared to follow their pace with at most some good natured ribbing because I like the result.
 
"Gimme something innovative", however, is unlikely to yield any result.

I mentioned this once before but since this is what it does, for clarity why isn't it called the Hue Replacement Brush???

I could imagine that with three applications (AD, AP, and APub) and two operating systems to work on they have a lot on their plates now so it’s kind of understandable that they are less responsive.
