Well, embarrassingly, I can't remember exactly which files gave me the issue - I'm working on quite a few.
Also, I haven't encountered the problem recently, ever since I split the files into smaller sections, so I suspect it is a memory linked issue.
I only have 8Gb of RAM and I'm going to look at upgrading it after lockdown.
So.. Thanks for your reply but I may just be wasting your time.
Let's let it ride for now and if it happens again I'll come back to you.

As far as I remember, I have not met the same problem again, neither in betas nor released versions since that actual version.

I already sent the files to your dropbox. Notice that the problem is only when I want to do a pdf with PDF/X-4, which is what I sue wit the printer. Other pdf settings accept the file.

Upgraded to 1.8.3 and the problem seems to be fixed. Lovely.

The original version of the file was, I think, created using 1.8.x but I can’t be absolutely sure of the exact version. (It was created on 26/03/20 and I downloaded 1.8.2 on 18/03/20 so I’m fairly sure it was created in 1.8.2 although I can’t be sure if I copied the ‘base’ document from an earlier file.)
I’ve uploaded the file as requested.

If that does not fix the issue could you upload the file here please

Thank you for taking care of it. Since it worked in the old version and if Serif fixed a problem with the links, I will probably wait for the beta version. The chances seem to be good that it will solve the problem.

The file is opening for me whch would indicate it is a linked file problem. You could either upload all the linked files or wait for the next beta to see if we have cured that problem for you. We have fixed an issue with linked files and the beta should be out soon

Yes it is a bug - I've added this report to the incident. Hopefully you can get your export working now
