Think you need to enable the US international input method to support that method of entry. -

Unable to open files in Publisher - just crashes

The fix for this issue is in the latest beta - you can check that out. I would layout out using embedded images make any tweaks then come back and link the images. Having the images in an easy to manipulate folder structure would give you a quick get out of jail escape route -
There is an existing issue logged about this. I'll add this report to it - thanks for reporting it

Unable to open files in Publisher - just crashes
Pauls replied to deannak's topic in V1 Bugs found on macOS
one way around this is to rename the folders containing linked content - then open the document and relink the images. In some cases if a file changes size e.g. by external editing this can cause this issue. -
You might need to make sure all the fonts are activated before running publisher.

I'll need to know what settings you were using to export the different formats - if you can screenshot the more options that would be usefull. I think it can depend on the viewer you're using too which complicates things - what are you using to view the different formats. There is something throwing the output off. I've found rasterizing the complicated vector layers and outputting those is more consistent. How did you create the bitmap fill used on the polo ? - was it a separate file. If so could you upload that too.

Text jumps when wrapped around objects in columns
Pauls replied to Steve Rowe's topic in V1 Bugs found on macOS
would it be possible to get the document ? -
Hi, The attached file appears to be corrupt could you please reattach it or upload it here. If you have linked images please include one of the problematic ones as well. I have seen similar issues when the colour mode of the .afpub file does not match the colour mode of placed images and the colour preference option to convert placed images has not been checked.

File crashes Publisher in release version - was fine in beta
Pauls replied to taharvey's topic in V1 Bugs found on macOS
we would need the file. One thing to try would be to break the link to any linked images by changing a folder path(s) and seeing if the document loads. You would then have to relink the images. Long shot but it might work -
This isn't possible in this version of Publisher.

PNG export through Affinity Publisher 1.7.1 loses background image
Pauls replied to Oridraw's topic in V1 Bugs found on macOS
I think this may be down to a colour preference setting as you are working in mixed colour spaces. Try checking "Preferences, Colour, Convert opened files to working space" and re-embedding the file. Then the document and exports should match up a lot better. -
Text and Index Frames split numbers - have danglers
Pauls replied to thetasig's topic in V1 Bugs found on macOS
If you turn on Text, Show Special Characters - you'll see if different space types are causing the issue as the icons are slightly different
