the crashing is logged and I think if you're trying to reference the total number of pages in a book you'll need to use a cross reference to an anchor on the last page to gerneate that page number.

have you used a legacy installer to install ventura 13.3 ?

Can you supply a crash report please - you should be able to save those out of the console application

in that case ventura 13.3 has broken some of the drivers they have been using

do you by any chance have used an unusual route to get osx 13.3 installed onto your machine?

Looks like we've been able to reproduce this here now so hopefully a fix will be incoming

If you've used OpenCore to get Ventura onto that mac you will need to look to them for additional support with drivers

I've added this report to an existing issue - it's related to metal rendering so switching to OpenGL in performances / preferences can avoid it

Think I've managed to recreate the issue and have logged another issue to hopefully get it sorted for you @Pyanepsion

Could we get the details of the exact drive please. Also does the problem happen all the time or only after a certain amount of work has been done. Does the saving problem happen to coincide with the auto save interval?

If you are on a Mac can we see a crash report?

The crash is within preflight and is probably due to a linked file. Rename the top level folder with your resources in, open the doc and relink them. That should hopefully stop the crash

and if you use Stage Manager can you disable that please

Could we get a screenshot of the Appearance settings on your mac please ?

The error message is usually related to a problem with resources. The beta version has some fixes to get around that

There is also a newer beta build available you should be able to download that from your beta account

That is odd - do you have any unusual scheme settings or thrid party apps that alter UI schemes ?

It will need opening in the beta I'm afraid. Can you try launching the app whilst holding the control key down at the same time, perform the reset and see if it launches OK then
