Now running AP 1.9.0 and the new version also does not recognize any lens profile for LX 100 M2. What is the problem with LX 100? I am still expecting that Lens Correction of the Serif Engine should be as good as Apple's Core Image Raw. Are there any draw backs if I generally switch via assistant to Apple's Core Image Raw? Less functionality, poorer performance? -

I attach a Raw and the corresponding jpeg-File developed by the camera. After that I overlayed camera's jpeg with the results of APs develop (exported as jpeg). I used Apple's Core Image Raw: Shows almost same lens correction as correction by camera Serif Engine with Leica DMC-LX100 Lens Correction I also append result of Serif Engine without Lens Correction exported as jpeg to prove, that lens correction is needed. running AP 1.8.4, but AP still does not recognize any lens profile for LX 100 M2. I added "Leica DMC-LX100 & compatible" to my favourites in order to quickly apply a suitable profile manually. In Develop Assistent I also set Lens Profile Default to "last used". This helps some way. I'm not sure that "Leica DMC-LX100 & compatible" yields the best possible adjustment. So what is the current state with LX100M2?

Now running AP 1.7.2 The delays which I decribed in July have now disappeared. I also watched the video tutorial "metal compute", very good. Metal compute accelaration is enabled, runs fine!

Hi James, running AP 1.7.1. These preference options about performance are confusing me. I simply do not understand the Metal, OpenGL and GPU stuff. What are the recommended options for my iMac (Retina 4K, 21.5-inch, 2017) with 3 GHz Intel Core i5 and Radeon Pro 555 2 GB? I am asking because I notice, that sometimes the thumbnails of new layers in the layes panel (even a fill layer) are refreshed with serveral seconds delay. Also the histogram in the level adjustment layer gets displays only after seconds of delay.

Marquee seems not to work anymore: Select rectangle, selection becomes elliptical. I used Marque Tool with feather set to maximum 1024px (new feature?). Reducing feather to 0px reinstates normal behaviour.

I vote this enhancement request. On my old mac-mini I am sometimes experiencing noticable delays with large images and certain filters and get confused by these. I am watching the dock icon of Activity Monitor to confirm that AP has finished its computations ;) -
Affinity's in-app documentation is quite good. Because of some drawbacks in Yosemite's help viewer, I use Safari to lookup the helpfile contained in the application: I bookmarked it: This link should work, if Affinity Photo is installed on your Mac: file:///Applications/Affinity%20Photo.app/Contents/Resources/AffinityPhoto.help/Contents/Resources/English.lproj/index.html# If you have a suitable pdf converter available, you can convert the whole help file from html to pdf.

Sorry Madame, I do not find fill>gradient>bitmap. Can you please clarify? When I want to fill a circle with an image, I place the image into the document, draw a filled circle and use it as layer mask. Your way seems to be more straight forward, but I cannot find the bitmap option.
