  1. Hi I have had the same issue, Mac Sonoma 14.1.2 with epson ET-3750. Only prints once, then you have to close the apps and re open to print again. My solution so far was to remove the Apples selected Air Print driver and install the latest from Epson site and use USB connection. Regards
  2. Hi A number of versions later and this issue still exists.. Any news on when it will be fixed? Regards
  3. Hi, Agree with @Slammer, a slippery slope but very good for familiarising yourself with Affinity and inspiration for larger projects. On the subject of Greek patterns, I recently created my version of a cover of a game called Agon. (https://rpggeek.com/rpgitem/292344/agon-2nd-edition) I created a few Greek Raster Pattern brushes. I will upload them to the resources if anyone wants them, when I figure out how to do one of those brush sheets that everyone seems to use.
  4. Firefly Serenity created in Affinity Designer, all vector apart from background.
  5. Hi, Thanks for the comments. I am relatively new to digital art, so still developing my techniques, so forgive me if i use incorrect terminology. I am more used to oil paint, palette knives, brushes and canvases. So tend to follow a similar workflow for my digital projects, which is probably the wrong way. Initially, all is vector, done with shapes and the pen tool in designer persona. I draw the outlines of significant features and clothing. Then draw thick strokes using a small palette to get a basic idea of the coloured areas inside the outline shapes. Then edit these line and colours to get the required balance. I then Rasterise the vector colour layers and use blending brushes in Pixel Persona to get smooth colour transitions. Extra Hair layers are added using fine brushes in Pixel Persona. Skin texture added using texture brushes in Pixel Persona Material Textures (leather, cloth etc.) done using texture brushes in Pixel Persona.
  6. Hi, just come across this post... I am seeing the same issues, but for me the smudge brush tool is the one i need a shortcut for, but it doesn't save. also it is sometimes missing from the list. I hope this gets sorted soon. Regards.
  7. Great Start, you've captured the likeness, keep it up.
  8. Hi, Great Work... I agree, the symmetry only goes up to 16. However you can copy & paste layers and rotate to give the illusion of more. Or create symbols and rotate them. I attempted some mandalas a while ago but could not get the required effects using symmetry, so created them in designer persona using symbols and rotating.
  9. Thanks, I am still relatively new to digital painting and affinity, so all advice is welcome. I do agree about the shadow, there is one but not strong enough.
  10. Star Wars - Rey - Portrait created in Affinity Designer
  11. Hi I just came across this problem, and searched the forums for an answer. Happy to see that it has already been acknowledged as an issue. However, is there any update on a fix, as still present over a year later in 1.8.4 (mac) Regards
  12. Hi Is the Reset Brush button in the Brush Editor, suppose to reset the brush back to factory settings? It seems to reset it it back to last saved settings. It works if you leave the brush editor open, but if you close it, then continue working, when you open it again the reset won't work Regards
  13. Hi This issue does annoy me, I am new to Affinity and there are so many brushes I forget the names of them and the brush list does lose highlight especially when using keyboard shortcuts. Pressing more brings up the brush editor, but this doesn't have the brush name either. I would suggest that there should be some way of permanently highlighting or marking which brush is selected. Regards
