["Sample All Layers" equivalent in Affinity Photo?]

When using tools such as the spot healing tool in Photoshop then I usually create a new layer and select "sample all layers" so that I can remove if needed. Is there an equivalent function in Affinity? I've found "new layer as snapshot" which kind of works as the same thing. As I'm a relative newbie then I'm not entirely sure. 

[Can we do software requests? possible Lightroom alternative?]

Lightroom + Affinity Photo user here. Desperate for the perfect DAM / editor combo! Any more news?

New Affinity user and forum member. Just wondering if there were any more updates on this? I'm a Lightroom user and really want to start replacing Photoshop with Photo. The current workarounds are killing my workflows at the moment. Cheers.
