[Turn off antialiasing]

Is there a way to get this to behave more like the pixel tool? I personally would love it if there was an option for paths to be rendered with a similar algorithm. Playing with the coverage-map curves is cool for certain effects but not great for controlled pixel-art.

I get those features – but you might notice that if there is a lot of empty space at the bottom of the text frame, the frame is centred, but not the text. With other products, you would click a button which resizes the text frame to the dimensions of the text. That's the functionality I'm looking for! Is there a way to do it?

Is there some (hidden?) way of fitting a text frame precisely to it's contents?

 

Use case —

• Create text frame
• Fill with text
• Change size of text
• Align to centre of artboard

 

Results in the text frame being centred, not the text. Ideally I would
