  1. Hi @John Harland, Did you try the suggestion @Old Bruce made in the second post of this thread? If that doesn't work then either a screen recording or a sample Affinity file would help us to help you otherwise we're working slightly in the dark trying to guess what may be going on...
  2. This is a minor cosmetic one but previously used Hyperlinks don't get highlighted when attempting to select them from the previously used dropdown list, it would perhaps be 'helpful' if the respective URL and/or Email address were highlighted on mouse over so it is obvious which you are selecting... It's not a particular issue as the selection is pretty obvious but it just feels as though this should work similarly to the Fonts list in the context toolbar... Hyperlink Selection.mp4
  3. Hi @NathanC, Sorry, I should have been a little more specific, you are completely right of course, I only used the Unsharp Mask as an example because it was common to all the images but yes, it will impact any Layer Adjustments and in the version shown in the screen recording I did uncheck all Layer Adjustment Layers, not just the Unsharp Mask Layers... The question I guess then is, is this expected behaviour or a bug when using nested adjustment layers within a Picture Frame?
  4. However, you need to distinguish between selecting the value in the value field and tabbing to the value field as these give different results... If your starting point is... Entering +1 or += 1 in the X, Y, W and H boxes results in... But if your starting point is... Entering +1 or += 1 in the X, Y, W and H boxes results in... Regardless of your starting point... Entering -1 or in the X, Y, W and H boxes results in... Entering -= 1 or in the X, Y, W and H boxes results in...
  5. Hi @Grizeto and @NathanC The issue actually appears to be caused by the Unsharp Mask Adjustment Layers... remove those and the corners line up despite the Picture Frames being non-pixel aligned... There are two solutions: The first as @NathanC mentions is to perfectly pixel align everything, this will allow you to maintain a non-destructive workflow with Layer Adjustments... The second would be to rasterise the images with their Adjustment Layers and then save these as Tiff files before bringing them into Publisher, though this would mean a destructive workflow, i.e., you wouldn't be able to make changes to the Adjustment Layers directly in Publisher if you wanted to make quick changes... Note: The third PDF has been rasterised directly in Publisher to flatten the image and adjustment layers which doesn't work. As the images were linked I've substituted these for alternative images in the screen recording to demonstrate... @NathanC, I don't know if this therefore would be considered a bug which needs logging? Unsharp Mask.mp4
  6. I was more asking the question from the point of view of whether this is 'by design' or a 'bug'...
  7. Hi @NathanC, Are we able to add to the report that this is an issue on macOS as well affecting both the Context Toolbar and Character Panel but it works as expected in the Text Style panel... Home key – Go to start of list – Fails and adds a U+F72C character to the font selection field End key – Go to end of list – Fails and adds a U+F72C character to the font selection field Page Down key – Go to next page – Fails and adds a U+F72C character to the font selection field Page Up key – Go to start of list – Fails and adds a U+F72C character to the font selection field
  8. Hi @karluwe and welcome to the forums, Are these files you're able to upload to the forum, i.e., both versions so we can take a look?
  9. That depends on whether you're referencing the X, Y or the W, H values in the Transform panel... If the former then replacing X: 12.345 mm with -1 correctly results in X: -1 mm, if you replace W: 12.345 mm with -1 the result will still be W: 12.345 mm, the same is true for pica values, so replacing X: 12p6 with -0p6 (or -p6) correctly results in -0p6 displayed as 0p6, likewise replacing 12p6 with -0p6 (or -p6) will result in 12p6... To give you a value of 11.345 mm for all transform values you would need to type '12.345 mm - 1', the same for pica, to give you a value of 12p you would need to type '12p6 -p6'... If I replace X: 12p6 with -0p6 (or -p6) this results in X: 0p6 whereas X: 12p6 -0p6 = 12p If I replace W: 12p6 with -0p6 (or -p6) this results in W: 12p6 whereas W: 12p6 -0p6 = 12p Pica.mp4
  10. Hi @Callum, I've just uploaded the file for you... To test simply apply the Initial Words Text Style to successive paragraphs, I set the keyboard shortcut Ctrl Q for ease of application. As you go through applying the style to each paragraph individually you should hopefully see the same issues described and shown in the screen recording but let me know if you see something different...
  11. Thanks both for the clarification and yes, I now see what you're saying though my question would be this... Bearing in mind that Drop Caps, Initial Words and Bullets and Numbering are all Paragraph formatting options, are Emphasis, Strong and Strong Emphasis not unique, font agnostic formatting characteristics of a paragraph, 'unique' being the operative word, i.e., Emphasis - Style settings | Italic: On Strong - Style settings | Font weight: Bold Strong Emphasis - Style settings | Strong + Italic: On While you can apply a Character Style to a Running Header, you can't for example control the 'Initial words' max word count or the 'End Character' for the Character Style since these are Paragraph only characteristics...
  12. It does indeed, 'bad apple'... 🙃🍎 Though it does have separators if you enable 'Number Separator Grouping' in the 'Language & Region' Advanced tab in System Settings... unlike Publisher's word and character count along with measurements... and
  13. Maybe I'm still missing something... RH field is set to Strong and Strong is used in Initial Words... Character Style.mp4
  14. Hi @Binarytales, and welcome to the forums, If you create your icons, ensuring they are perfectly pixel-aligned, in the Designer Persona then auto-create your slices directly from the Slices Panel in the Export Persona that 'should' give you what you need. Without seeing your icon designs it's difficult to know how they look but as a very simple example, you could set your icons up at 72 px x 72 px which gives you the option to export them either as SVG files or as PNG files @1x, @2x or @4x depending on whether you want the icons to be 72 px x 72 px, 144 px x 144 px or 288 px x 288 px. Name the Layers appropriately, this example names them Button_01, Button_02 etc., just for demonstration purposes. If you want to upload a screengrab of a typical icon design along with any specific issues or questions, plenty of people on the forum will be able to help... Note: The ability to specify a specific file path on export is a new feature in v2.4.0 which is currently in Beta. Stream Deck Icons.mp4
  15. A really minor one if it's not already logged... There is no differentiation between 'Characters' and 'Characters including spaces' in Publisher's status bar which means having to click the option to see which is selected... i.e., the additional 'including spaces' text isn't shown in the status bar when the option is selected so both options only display the text 'Characters'...
  16. This is partly an expansion of the second point in this post but it highlights additional issues when using 'First' and 'Last on page' with Running Headers... Issues When a paragraph wraps over two pages the 'Last on page' Running Header correctly shows as the 'Last on page' on the first page but as the 'First on page' for the second page... subsequently when styling the first two full paragraphs on the second page neither are applied as the 'First' or 'Last on page' Running header. When styling the third full paragraph on the second page, seemingly randomly selected text from the third paragraph is used for both the 'First' and 'Last on page' Running Headers... Styling a fourth paragraph on the second page which wraps onto a third page then correctly identifies the 'Last on page' Running Header for the second page but again shows as the 'First on page' Running Header for the third page. Styling subsequent paragraphs on the third page fails to change the 'First on page' Running Header and fails to show any 'Last on Page' Running Header for the third page... Continued paragraph styling repeats variations of the same pattern though at one point selects text starting midway through a word to use as its 'First' and 'Last on page' Running Headers... There appears to be no pattern, i.e., it doesn't use the same number of words or characters between instances of randomly selected text for use in the Running Header... Screen Recording Showing Issues with 'First' and 'Last on page' Running Headers First and Last on Page.mp4
  17. Hi @steve1189 and welcome to the forums, That sounds very likely, selecting the text and either using Layer > Convert to Curves or inadvertently using the keyboard shortcut, if one is associated, would cause the text to appear as individual Curve layers in a group... Can you not recall the font you used when creating the logo? If not then if you can upload a screenshot I'm sure someone will be able to identify the font for you.
  18. Hi @Antonio MG, Absolutely, someone from the moderation team will pick this thread up at some point and they will provide a private Dropbox link for you so you can upload your PDF file privately and then report back once they've taken a look...
  19. @MikeTO, I'm not seeing any obvious issue here (unless I'm doing something differently)... Initial Words RH Initial Words.mp4 Same with Drop Caps, Bullets and Numbering RH Initial Drop Caps.mp4 There is an issue here which in part, appears to relate to a scenario when a paragraph spans two pages or text frames, though your sample file seems to be doing the opposite... It gets even stranger when using 'Last on Page' in as much as it will select text mid-paragraph instead of the initial words (when using the Initial Words text style)... I've logged this as a separate issue here... Last on Page When Paragraph Spans Text Frames over Two Pages RH Initial Span Pages.mp4 I'm seeing possibly a bigger or slightly different issue here, it doesn't seem to make any difference whether or not there is a blank paragraph before the last paragraph... When specifically using the Body text style for Running Headers with Body set to 'First' and 'Last on page', even without a blank paragraph before the last paragraph I get no Running Headers at all for 'First on page' and intermittent Running Headers for 'Last on page'... RH Body.mp4 Agree this is not technically a bug, it's just honouring how you've set the Running Header... Agree that this looks like an oversight... I can't see any logical reason for the Running Header Style not to update to reflect the name change...
  20. Hi @Antonio MG and welcome to the forums, Are you able to upload the PDF file itself so we can take a look... the sample file with the PDF embedded is as you say, 'blank', I'm unsure why but being able to take a look at the source PDF file may give us some clues and help find a resolution for you...
  21. Hi @altsan, That's great to hear, I'm glad it did the trick and happy to hear it's saved you from much hair-pulling...
