I’m in the market for a new computer after my MacBook Pro 17” Late 2011 died on me. I’m seriously looking into the MacBook Pro 13” 1.4Ghz base model but planning to upgrade it to 16GB RAM & 1TB SSD. I use all three Affinity: Photo, Designer & Publisher and sometimes use Final Cut Pro. Can you give me more info on the machine’s performance please?

My MacBook Pro 17 inch (Late 2011) just broke down. I don’t want spend a lot on a new MacBook Pro. Currently, I’m seriously considering the MacBook Pro 2019 13 inch base model.

I use Affinity Photo, Designer and Publisher. Also use Final Cut Pro.

Anyone using the base model? Can you share your experience with me please?

Is there a way to put the nudge settings in a tool bar where i can see it

 

i need to change it often and going all those steps are problem with speed

 

Nudge settings in tool bar would be a great thing for me.

 

I change the nudge distance settings a lot and having to do this in preferences over and over again is tedious.

[Designer: how an item becomes a "snapping candidate"?]

Woah! I did not realize this was how snapping worked! I was having so much trouble getting things to snap together - probably because this technique does NOT work with my Wacom tablet. When I am dragging an object and hover over another object I wish to snap to... nothing happens. Possibly because the tablet pen is never still enough, even if the cursor doesn't appear to move.

 

On my wishlist: better tablet support, the ability to remove snapping candidates (maybe they fade over time), and the ability to show all snapping candidates but only when dragging.

 

Same here. Snapping works when I use my mouse.

 

However, when I use my Wacom tablet, snapping is the opposite.

This is where we can specify the distance we want to move things using the arrow keys.
