Been playing a bit with Affinity Photo and started messing with sky replacement or enhancement. This is a set of gradients created (mostly) from photographs to mimic interesting skies. Enjoy!

epirot got a reaction from allfive in Support for External Editor
There is an App, External Editors for Photos, that allows full access to Affinity Photo via the Mac Photos App. It also allows access to the Nik Collection, which is a very interesting development, as well as any other Photo Editing or Display Apps on my iMac. It would be great if an App for 'External Editors for Affinity Photo' could be developed.

Google has just announced that their Google Nik Collection composed of seven Photoshop plug-ins is now free for everyone.

Currently Analog Efex Pro 2, Color Efex Pro 4, Silver Efex Pro 2 work with Affinity Photo. HDR Efex Pro 2 only works partially.

Try Capture 1 - I was also very sad when they stopped working on Aperture. I had previously used C1 but also gave Lightroom a try. I'm my opinion LR is too limited in function and workspace. Possibly great for people who haven't used something better. C1 is a similar workflow to Aperture. Better quality file output than all the rest and highly customisable so you can make it work the way you want. Multi screen, easy camera tethering and control and flawless colour management. Masked layer adjustments. Good support as well.
I'm also eagerly waiting to see what Affinity does.

epirot reacted to MEB in How do I add a scanned signature to my photos?
    Hello Angler,
    Welcome to Affinity Forums :)
Assuming you have scanned a black signature in a piece of paper, go to Filters ▸ Colours ▸ Erase White Paper to make it transparent, then on the bottom of the Layers panel. click on the Layer Effects button and choose Colour Overlay to be able to change the colour of the signature to whatever you want. To edit the colour later double-click the FX icon in front of the signature layer name to open the Layer Effects dialog again.
You can scale and position the signature, using the Move Tool (the black arrow in the toolbar). To position it just make sure the layer/signature is selected (click on it) and drag it to position wherever you want. To scale it click and drag one of the corner handles.
