Thank you @Smee Again. Like I said, I just adapt some "rubber band" technique from traditional drawing. I find it easier than building a whole grid, it looks clearer to me, especially when the drawing is complex.

Here are the separated outlines of the UFO Robot file. The last one, that can seems weird, is containing the guides. Some clues about how I use it are shown here (in that case, 2 points perspective) : Original sketch

Thank you very much Stuart. The background uses some tricks : 3 different skylines then a lot of sticks with various thickness. The blur effects helps a lot. The main difficulty that slowed down my process was to use a 3 points perspective. I couldn't just copy and paste some vertical sticks, they all had to match the 3rd point. But that's the fun of it too I can post the outline artwork of each layer separately, if some of you are interested.

Grendizer is also known as Grandizer, Goldorak or Goldrake. Same family and same creator, the great Go Nagai I remember them.. from the 70's I'm not very young... The first TV show I saw was... well in 1978.

Yes, it's a king of mix, I would say a global tribute. This is a Mazinger/Grendizer's style robot. Loved them so much when I was a kid.

Here's the final. I fixed the color, increased the size of his eyes and skipped the teeth. Thank you all for your comments and advice.

Thank you Alfred, and, according to the emoji you put, I will have to give him a more decent yellow color instead of this greenish tint.

Hello Everyone, This one is a work in progress, a quite "froggy" fanart of Pacman . I will probably give a try with the teeth, like I did in my original sketch. But it's quite challenging. The ghosts faces were also probably more funny in the sketch but I had to chose between drawing a face or having the clothes effects.

Thank you. Actually I often duplicate the objects in order to obtain nice effects in lighting. Since they're one above each over, the wireframe looks quite clean but in some case there are 2 layers : one shape for the main color (including gradient if necessary), then a copy on the top with plain light color and transparency settings (a lot of the green light reflections are done this way).

Hi Everyone, This freaky Mickey mouse is an example I made in order to introduce my students to digital painting. It's unfinished and will stay this way indeed. It was done in Affinity Photo although the students use Photoshop. I tried to gave them the basics of digital painting and I also taught them that the software is not very important. Unfortunately our school is not using (yet?) Affinity software.
